| help..two females fighting! Hello all, its been a while since I have come online...recently my two girls have been fighting! I need some advice ASAP..I'm scared and I don't know what to do! I have two females, Luna (Yorkie) is three years old and Felicia is a Yorkie/ Papillon 1 and a half years old. We had Luna first and brought Felicia into the family 1 and a half yrs. years ago...they have always got along fine..played with each-other and have been loving sisters. But the past 2 weeks their behavior towards each-other has become VERY violent. When ever we are getting into the car they attack each-other and we have to rip them apart. They are growling and barking. Or when it comes to the bed, if one of the girls is on the bed..she wont let the other up. It seems they are fighting over dominance??? What can I do? Any suggestions will help. thank you!

| They are definetly at the age where the baby is going to try to be the dominant female. Unfortunately, other then letting them fight it out I don't know what to tell you. If it gets out of hand get the coin jar, or whatever scares them and shake it to break the fight up. Don't ever put your hands between their mouths when their fighting because you might get bitten very bad.

| You don't want either of them to be dominant as you are the lead dog. When you catch them lay them down on their side and hold them until they give to your will. Just like you see them doing. It will take several times but don't give in and you will show them that you are the boss. |

ABSOLUTELY!!! I had three females that wanted to practically kill each other, especially when in heat! I 'alpha dogged' them (as mentioned above) and now when I say stop, they stop! You will probably have to do it several times before they completely quit, but it does work. Mine play really well with each other now, but every once in while, you'll begin to see and recognize that 'look' in their eyes and you can stop it before it even begins. Note: When you lay them on their side and hold them down, bury your face in their neck and growl really loud. It's might sound crazy, but they'll respond. Don't give up! Hang in there and catch it when it starts. Get your husband to do the same thing with the other. DO NOT let them up until they stop struggling and acknowlege you as the boss (or Alpha). Good luck!

| I just went through this and I could not find a solution at all. Mine were fighting and drawning blood . I knew one would get very hurt sooner or layer So I had to give one away. It has only been a week and I miss my Daisy something alful. But there is peace in the house now But I did everything except drug them to get them stop fighting So I hope things turn out different for you and if you find a answer I will love to know about, for furture ref.

A simple reminder that you allow them to ride in the car or get on the bed will help them. Good luck!

| You are going to have to let them know your the alpha not them, and continue it...its hard but if you don't they might really hurt each other...

| Thanks for the tips. I have two females, one is fixed and the other will be when she gets a little older. I hope I never have to use these strategies, but I'm glad to know what to do. I wish you well with your two. Keep us up to date, and if this works for you.
