| Proud of my babies! (DFW Meetup) We had a DFW meetup today. I didn't take pictures, so I can't post any. But I just HAVE to post and brag! I'm so proud of my babies! I took my yorkies Pixie and Bogey. They have both been before. Pixie is usually very well behaved... Bogey is a different story. He likes to hump all the pretty ladies... and sometimes he decides he likes the guys, too (sorry Rocky!). Every month, Bogey does better and better. Well, today was *THE* big day! We went to an entire yorkie meet, and he humped not a single dog! The entire time! I am *SO* proud of him! We also took my daughter's jack russell Cinnamon. Cinnamon gets very carsick - she poops, pees, throws up, etc. Cinnamon did NOT make a mess in the car! Going or coming. She was also very well behaved at the meetup. And... to top things off, my husband wanted to bring his pug, Preston. Preston is very hyperactive, and when Pixie and Preston were younger, they had to be separated and not allowed to play together because Preston is very strong and hyper. He used to always play too rough with Pixie. And just recently, he and Bogey have decided they don't like each other and get in some pretty heavy dog fights. I wasn't sure how Preston was going to behave, but if he didn't behave with the yorkies, hubby was going to take him over with the "big dogs". Preston is 22-24 lbs, so he really could be in either dog park. Believe it or not, Preston was VERY well behaved at the meetup, too! He didn't play rough with anyone, he didn't fight with anyone, and he wasn't too overly hyper. I am so very proud of my whole crew. Not that I expected anything less out of Pixie, but the others were very, very good.

| I'm new to this board, but not new to Yorkies. AND I live in Richardson, which is in the DFW area. How often do you have Meetups? Can anyone with a Yorkie join you? Right now we are Yorkless. My Hailey, my love, my heart, went to the Bridge on Dec. 23, 2006, and my hubby and I have been inconsolable and not looking for a new furbaby. However, a dear friend in AZ had a stroke, and she wants us to take her little guy Yogi because she is unable to care for him at this point. We are having a lot of difficulties with the airline carrier size requirements and his size, so I don't know if this will work. My hubby is flying out to get him, but I'm not sure they will let him bring Yogi back. He's a super sized Yorkie, and he will not be able to stand and turn around in the pet carrier, so my hubby might have to return without him. If we are fortunate enough to have Yogi join our family, we'd love to attend one of your meetups. Sandy |

| We would love to have you come. The next one is on August 11 at Southlake. If you go to the regional section and click on southwest region and pull up July DFW meetup, there are directions. I would give them to you but am not good at street names |

| YOur babies were great! I almost didn't recognize Bogey because he was on all 4 feet all day! and Preston and my dad loved each other. Dad kept calling him his "buddy". I didn't take my camera, so I don't have pics either, but I know Shana did, so maybe she'll post hers. Kristie took some, too.

Hubby keeps talking about your dad and how Preston really took to him. Preston definitely found himself a new "buddy!"
