| When Aubrey got an IV one time, he had a lump on the spot where they put the IV for a couple of days, so it could be from the needle. |

| puppies sleep alot Yes, they did when they were young. They would play for a short time and then sleep for 1 hour and then play and then sleep again. This is normal when they are a puppy. After six months they play more than sleep. My boys have a afternoon nap and go to bed when I do. Next time you go in for her shots, have the vet check it out. If she's not in pain when you touch the lump, or if it's not growing it can wait until the next vet visit. I would only worry if she's not eating or drinking.

| Did she just get a shot? Sometimes when Kona and Bernie got shots a little bump would form on their back.

| I felt a lump on Juju in that spot the other day. I asked the vet to feel it and he said it was from the shot she recently received! Yay!

| re: lump Hi! I had detected a small lump on boobah's back also. I was concerned and glad I had an appt. with the vet the next 2 days. When we saw the vet he examined her thoroughly and felt the lump. He said it was nothing for me to worry about. he said more than likely she could have ran into something and hit herself. Also, if the lump got bigger to bring her back. That was 3 weeks ago. Since then, the lump is miniscule now. And Boobah is just as active as ever. This morning she knocked over the gate to the living room. I have that as off limits for her but she has the rest of the house to herself. She mainly stays in the den with all of her toys. I stopped buying her toys, she has a treasure of them. But if it doesnt hurt her and it doesnt get any bigger I wouldnt worry about it. I just followed my vet's advice.

| If your baby just had shots that's probably what it's from. When that happened to Vinnie after his second round I was told that sometimes they don't go in deep enough so the vaccine can settle right under the skin and it can take awhile for it to absorb. As long as it doesn't hurt it's ok to rub it and get it to disperse quicker. I had the same thing happen and I freaked out, but the rubbing worked, it only took one time. Good Luck!!
