| When does the Brain Fairy come? My son and DIL have a Bernese Mountain dog. They claim that the brain fairy comes to "Berners", as they are called, around the 3rd birthday. They settle down some, become a little easier to manage and more cooperative - just a little most sensible. So - when does the Yorkie brain fairy come? Molly will be three in October. Do you think it will happen then? On a serious note, how long does the average Yorkie live? (Berners live only 7 - 9 years.) Kathy |

I think the average yorkie lives to be about 12-15 years, but I have heard of some being up to 20 years old.

| I think I've been really lucky with Jake because he has always been really well behaved and listens to us very well. Maybe the brain fairy visited him a little early. But, I think the brain fairy left the building last night because he was a little demon child.

| My daughter's Berner will be 8 in Sept. and she seemed to calm down (a bit) at about 2 but she still loves to learn up against yoou and nearly knock you over. My yorkies are 3 and 2 and the brain fairy may have missed us.
