| A gray baby yorkie? This breeder had an ad in my newspaper, they are in Houston. This puppy was on their site for only $400? Is something wrong with it? |

| fancypups.com is the website. All his brothers are black, and he is priced less than them. SO I was just curious. I have never seen a yorkie for only $400. |

| Maybe he is just older and they need to find him a home.

| Im curious too....IMO he's too young to be changing colors...and he is less than half the price of all the other pups...I would be skeptical! Plus this seems more like a mill to me since the pups mostly have diferent birthdays. And it says that they have more pups not pictured. It seems to me like a breeder wouldnt have that many litters at a time. |

| I looked at the site, and I personally would not buy any pups from them. As far as the "gray yorkie", I have to wonder if this might possibly be a blue born pup. I'd like to see the rest of his body.

| Some pups change colors very early....meaning they'll go very light. Ears maybe shaved to assist in bringing them up. Possibly this pet is not AKC and from a BYBer.

| thanks i wasn't sure. is it possible though that it is a blue born, or would it look like a regular black puppy at this age?

| I believe I checked them out before. I think they are brokers. They sell for several breeders if I am not mistaken. On the Houston yorkie list there were a few that had dogs from there and recommended them, but I don't think I would go that route.

| It doesnt look like a blue born puppy but I think it looks like it might have mange or a skin condition. Poor thing, it looks pitiful. |

| he doesn't look like a blue puppy. I have had some babies start to change to gray or white at seven or eight weeks old. it will later change to gold probably, and is very normal. The ones I have had that have silky coats, also look like they are almost going bald and when i first had yorkies, i thought, oh my goodness, my baby is losing his hair. On closer inspection, it was just graying at the roots, making the hair look thinner. BTW, that one was Ceeby, in my avatar. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Poor little guy - that is one POORLY Bred yorkie. No one can tell what health issues are going on from a photo but bless his heart - he's on the far edge of looking like a yorkie....If someone is just looking for a nice little dog I don't see why he wouldn't be sold and hope he gets a great home |
