| Howling? Last night I was sitting on the couch watching TV, and Jake was sleeping on the arm of the couch. Suddenly, he just started howling. It was raining, but it wasn't storming or raining hard. He howled a few times, then he snuggled with me and went back to sleep. Any ideas on why he would do this? He has never done it before. I wondered if maybe he heard an animal outside or maybe heard a storm in the distance.......or maybe he was dreaming? He seems completely fine, so I'm sure nothing is wrong.

| something in the air? Bella was all snuggled up sleeping with me last night and I was startled awake by her howling. I gave her a couple of nudges, she licked me and went back to sleep. I figure she was dreaming.

| my boys howl when they hear a sudden noise outside! A car starting, a neighbors door closing, the tree brushing against the house in the wind ... most of the time I don't even hear it. They are just very light sleepers I've learned and have exceptional hearing! I think I have started to sleep through their barking! One time my little bro was staying with me and he came home at 2am, my dogs and me were in my room door closed sleeping. The next morning I asked my brother what time he got in and he said 2, so I said 'wow, my dogs sleep soundly they didnt even bark!' he said "uummm chrissy, they barked for 20 mins straight!" HAHAHAHA It was ME who slept soundly! I didn't even hear them bark at all!! HAHA

| The babies are showing the beast they think they are! How cute. I've only had one dog in my life that howled and she was Wolf/GSD. |

| It really was pretty cute, once I knew he was okay. It scared me at first because I thought something was wrong. I wish I had a video of it, his little face was in the air, howling away.
