Does size really matter? Kobe is 6 months old and weighs approx. 9 lbs. Does this mean he isn't a true Yorkie? I'd like to hear from all the parents of Yorkies 9 lbs or more. Here's what he looks like today.

No, Aubrey is 12 lbs, and he is a full blood Yorkie!! Size does not matter, they can be bigger or smaller and still be a Yorkie!!! Our little Teapots. We should make a group for just the Teapot Club!!

| Kobe is absolutely ADORABLE! And I personally believe that size doesn't matter! My Tobi is 4 months old and already weights 5.5lbs, he's expected to be between 8-10 lbs full grown. As long as your fur baby is healthy and happy that's all that REALLY matters!

Kobe is adorable and no his weight has nothing to do with him not being a Yorkie. He looks all Yorkie to me with a face that you just want to kiss. Weight is important to those who want only a standard size (7lbs and under). For a pet only ,I for one do not care. Actually I prefer them to be on the larger size. They are sturdier and seem to have less health issues. Other than weight they are all the same. My Buddy is 15lbs, hoping my vet's scale was wrong and he's only the 13lbs he's been for two years. I keep forgetting to weigh him at home. I love him to pieces. He's very healthy and his coat is amazing. Enjoy your Kobe and don't worry much about his weight if he's a pet only Yorkie.

He is so cute! Dont you worry, several people on here have bigger ones. I would be worried all the time if I had a tiny one. He is true yorkie!
