| Age to get puppy... Ok, I have read several posts saying to wait until the puppy is 10-12 weels to bring it home. I am suppose to get my little girl when she is 8-9 weeks. Is this WAY too early? I am worried that I am making a mistake by getting her that early, but that is when the breeder is letting them all go. |

| Our little boy is 6mos. So I can't advise personally based on age. I have read enough here that would make me think twice about bringing home a pup that young. I believe they are still learning social skills from the mom and siblings at that age. Not to mention the hypoglycemia threat. I'd try to talk to the breeder about waiting until closer to the 10-12 week range. Best wishes and congrats!

| Ok, well I am going to visit her this Friday, so I am going to talk to the breeder and see what she says. Hopefully, she will understand that I am just a concerned new mommy, and I want to take every precaution to have the best possible outcome... then agree to keep Gia until she is 12 weeks old. Which is perfect, becasue that is the week we get back from vacation. I was planning to take her, but I was really worried about leaving her by herself for the time that we go to the waterpark. She would've been welcome everywhere else. |
