| Hallee gave us a scare at lunch time My hubby got home for lunch before I did. As soon as I walked in the door he gave me Hallee and told me to get her to the vet. She was grasping for air and shaking like a leaf. He found her laying in her crate, feet straight out, choking. She would not get up. He picked her up and put his finger down her throat and dislodged something. The only thing in her crate was some food and water. I grabbed her and off we went. Thanks goodness I have personal time that I can just call and take in an event like this. The vet did not see anything in her throat, but it was inflamed. He said it was like being scratched trying to get something down. He gave her antibiotic shot and gave me antibiotic to give her for the next 3 days. I ended up taking her back to work with me, sneaking her in, so I could keep an eye out on her. We feed her both hard and soft food. Maybe she was choking on the hard food. Now I will be chopping up the hard food before we give it to her from now on. Never know what is going to happen to these little guys. We are just relieved she is okay and that we came home for lunch. I worry if one of us does not come home, just to check up on them. I need to get a doggy cam to watch them while I am at work.

| I'm so glad she's OK. I have anxiety on a daily basis about things like that happening while I'm at work. I always give a sigh of relief when I come in the door and they greet me. Thank goodness you come home from work. Hope she's doing well

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | OMG THANK GOD he found her !! Good work & kudos to your husband for his quick thinking - both of you must be so relieved....and who'd think a tiny piece of food could do that. Man these little guys are so scary sometimes.... I think your husband deserves a little something special if you get my drift. I'm so glad she's ok....she had an angel looking over her today |

| I am glad she is okay. What a scare and count your blessings that you came home for lunch today so you could save her. Bad things can happen in the blink of an eye even if you do keep a close watch over them. |

| I don't think that you supposed to give your puppy dry and wet food at the same time. First reason is that they can got upset stomack bc that wet and dry food disolve at different times, and second reason is that they can choke on tha hard food while eating the soft one .
