| Yorkie found by police My neighbor just informed me that the police found a Yorkie wandering near our condo complex on Saturday. They are trying to find it's owner. I really don't have any information about the age or sex of it, or if it has a micro-chip....but it was found in Geneva Illinois. I just thought I'd post this in case anyone might know of someone near here missing their baby. Evidently the police have been keeping it at the police station and feeding it. |

| OK I called and they didn't have any information either, just that it didn't have a chip? Anyway, they are taking it to the shelter today so I am going to frantically call around to people I know this morning. THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting this - It must belong to someone!

| My neighbor who told me about the Yorkie was concerned it was Taylor. Then he saw Taylor looking out at him from our screened porch. I sure hope that they find the owner....poor baby! I am going to be gone all day today...but I wish I had a picture of it and then I could post it in each building by the elevators. It very likely belongs to someone that lives in these condo's. |

I hate to see it taken to a shelter. Can you contact the police and ask them to hold the baby until someone comes to get it and find the owner?

I'm sure they won't just give it to someone, even if they promise to give it back. The will turn it over to animal control. I think they give the owner 7 days, but I'm not sure, but then they will put it up for adoption. Unfortunately that shelter doesn't even post pictures online. If anyone would like details, I will call the shelter this afternoon and ask what their procedure is. I don't even know if it is a boy or girl or the size, age, etc. I just offered to take food and a collar/leash/harness if they needed it, but they said they were OK. The cops I've met are pretty nice and we have a new shelter facility so I'm sure it will be cared for - my concern is they might not find the owner!!!

| Thanks~ I just couldn't imagine if anything happened to Charlie or Henry, they make me laugh first thing every morning and B4 bed, All I can do is offer and see what happens, I do not think the PD will turn it over to anyone other than the owners...I do not know how long a shelter is required to hang onto the animal either B4 releasing... |
