| Missing their owners I'm leaving for 6 months with the Navy this week and I was wondering if any of you knew how the two "Puppies" (4&2) will react when they don't see me come through the door at the end of the day. They expect it. Will they become depressed? Less active? My wife will be here as well as my two duaghters, but they know to come to me to get babied. What's going to happen when they don't see me or get the same loving attetion they're used to? I'm going to miss them terribly. |

| Will you be able to get to some web cam maybe and still "talk" to your family at home and they can see you? I'm sure they're going to miss their daddy but I don't think they have a good concept of time so to them you're probably only gone a day.

| There's no webcam, but I have E-mail and my wife has the camera with video capabilities. I'll probably miss them more than they'll miss me. Aren't I pathetic?

| I miss mine when I go out to dinner or to the grocery store. That's the only two times I leave them ... lol!

I did this with my human daughter when I deployed on the Kitty Hawk: Wear a t-shirt for a few nights when you go to bed, and when you leave, give it to your doggies. It will have your smell on it, and they can cuddle with it while you are gone. Also, maybe have a pic of you in their area? Just some thoughts, I know the shirt trick worked really well with my daughter when she was 15 months old (human baby, not fur! haha). But, I imagine it would do the trick for a puppy dog too! If nothing else, sneak em on with you! haha.
