| puppy stroller questions Hey guys, I am planning on starting a new walking program this week for weight loss and want to take Tobie with me. A few months ago I purchased a dog stroller and tried to take him with me in it, but he hated it. I know that he can't walk for a long time, especially if its a little warm out (live in NC) but I want to be able to walk for myself and take him with me. Any suggestions on getting him used to be in his stroller so I can pump it out when he gets tired of walking? I'm scared if I leave the top undone, he'll jump out while I'm walking, and plus I don't want the stroller to be a waste of money. Thanks - TS |

| I understand your dog getting tired fast, especially when it is hot. I know Lacy (who is 7lbs and not overweight) will walk fine for a while but gets hot and tired and just wants to lay down and not move anymore. Even when it's not hot, she eventually will get tired if we walk more than a mile or so. I have a friend with a chihuahua that has luxating patellas - he used to run miles with her but can't anymore because of his bad knees so she take him in his stroller when she runs. So far as getting used to the stroller I'm not so sure - Lacy took to hers just fine. She really likes her stroller. Maybe start putting him in there sometimes while you are in the house and sit by him. Put some treats in there or a bully stick for him to chew on. Get him used to being in the stroller with it being still first. Then start taking him on small walks. Maybe that will work?
