| Ears-trim hair or no Just curious--Do you have the groomer trim their ears and keep the triangle look or let the hair grow out on their ears?

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I trim - every 2 weeks. I love the little triangle look and did make a booboo once and trimmed too much - but I usually just do the top 1/3rd of the ear. I think they look like little butterflies |

| I like it trimmed as well! I really need to have Susanah's done (her right ear is still floppy and someone suggested shaving it might help it perk up) but doing anything to her ear is like trying to pull teeth from a tiger - a tiger that is awake - and really hungry....

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Marcel's ears are trimmed, and I love it that way. Wylie's ears, after a lot of attempts, are both down - so I let them grow furry and floppy.

| I keep the top 1/3 of Diesel's ear shaved as well. Then I keep the rest of the hair trimmed so it isn't too long. We don't do bows! LOL Now if he was a girl I would have a topknot with all kinds of bows. LOL Plus keeping the hair off the ears helps keep them from flopping. When the hair gets to long Diesel's ears start to droop a tad. I have always hear that if the cartilage breaks in the ear then they won't stand back up.

| I just have the top 1/3 (or maybe only 1/4) of Lacy's ears shaved (called tipping the ears)

| I just trimmed Izzie's ears last night....As much as I love her, she does have BIG ears and now that they are trimmed her whole body looks more petite

| i trim maggie's too. i have actually shaved her entire ear and cut a lot of the hair around her ears...it makes her face look so petite. the hair on top of her head and on her neck is still long...but the hair immediately under her ears is cut short. i really like it.

| We keep them short...Emma has one permanently floppy ear, but you can see it better when it's short. It just MAKES her personality! Milli's ears are also trimmed so that they will stand up. As a puppy, we grew her ear hair too long and her ears flopped-so we shaved, fed cottage cheese, and up they went, in like 1 day!
