YT 500 Club Member | Scared of toy Has this ever happened to u? Armani was so scared of this new toy my dad got him. I thought he would get used to it. BUT he freaks and I mean freaks everytime I even pull that toy out. He run aways. Gets shaky, tries to clime on me to hide. As soon as the toy is gone he is fine. Its the strangest thing

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Not with Ozzie, but with our first Yorkie. He wasn't scared, but went into a RAGE every time he saw this one toy. (It was a Santa Claus.) At first, we thought it was just THAT toy. Then it kept happening with other toys. The similarity: All the toys were RED or predominantly so. If the toy was multi-colored and red happened to be one of the colors, this did not happen. Since dogs don't see color -- at least not the way that we do -- we never could figure out what it was about red that would freak him out. But he would bark, growl and shake so violently that we finally got rid of anything that was red or mostly so. I always joked and said he was part bull. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Wow. How old is Armani? Scruffy was only about 6 months or so when he developed his red phobia. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Ozzie doesn't care what color any toy is. He is only too happy to tear it up. |

| There are some toys that Mojo and Lily don't like.....they like toys that move and make noise, but some (for some reason) they don't like at all. Crazy.

| I have found that sometimes dogs choose to be scared of the strangest things. We had a dog that was scared of 20 ox coke bottles once. Maybe he'll come around to it. |

YT 500 Club Member | I hid it from him, at first we were not sure what was wrong because the toy was just laying there and he was acting weird and soon as I picked it up he freaked. I feel bad but my dad feels even worse lol. He went out and got him a huge bag of treats lol. He thinks he scarred him lol. Today was completely fine but he ran over to where his toys are and kind of pounced around to make sure its gone lol

| OMG! How funny, a few months ago, we realized Daisy's fear of a red ball (like a beachball but all red- it was an old dog's toy). omg, she would not go near it, growled, huffed, and made BIG circles to walk around it. I thought it was actually pretty funny and it's a good tool if you didn't want her in a room or didn't want her near something. hehe. I guess she's not the only one!
