YT 500 Club Member | I am not sure what to tell you, but our six year-old Yorkie has never been good with small children (children under 10) and for no good reason. I have posted here on more than one occasion that she has not only growled but snapped at small children for no apparent reason, and we have not found a way to fix this problem, no matter what we do.

| Did he come from a home where there were children, or is this a first for him? |

| I'm so sorry... That's got to be tough on you and the kids. Have you tried to let the children give him treats. It could be he's not used to being around "Little Humans" and are not sure what to do. I know my 4 year old nephew can get loud and runs about suddenly and it can be startling to your Yorkie. Let the childeren know they need to be gentle and quiet when (what is his name by the way?) the puppy is around. With my nephew, I have him sit on the floor and give him a treat. I make a game of it for him and tell him he can't move until the puppy comes to him for the treat. When the pups come to him for the treat, he gets a treat too! It's tough for a 4 year old to sit still but the look on his face when one of my girls (especially Jolie who is super shy) comes to him is so wonderful. Now when my nephew comes over he knows to be more quiet and gentle with the girls and the girls loves for him to play with them. Good luck! I'm sure they will be best friends in no time!
