| Question about coat color This is my first time to post so please be patient. I was wondering when my baby's hair will be it's true color? Right now he is black and gold. I would attach a picture but I can't seem to shrink it to 75 X 75 pixels w/o blurring it. Thanks for any response.

| http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...=coat+coloring I found this thread by using the search feature on the top bar. Search can be your very best friend. The article that is referenced in the thread I linked above will answer your question. There is no definitive way to determine the exact coloring of your pup. Only time will tell -- and that may be over a year into the future. Welcome to our forum! Here, just as any other online web resource, has volumes of information available to read. Be sure to look at all the information available and judge its merit before you take it as law. Most people mean well when they reply to a post but sometimes, their advise may be off the mark a little. Lisa

| Hello and welcome to Yorkie Talk I wish I could help you, but Cordelia is my first yorkie and she is only 5 months. She is going through that weird puppy coat stage where the roots look white or sort of silver.

| Hi and welcome to Yorkietalk!! I love it here and I am warning you it is addictive! My Chloe was all black on her back and silver and gold on her head, at 11 months old.But with age (she is 3.5 now, she is going silver on her back, starting from the tail and working up her back. but that is all the experience I have, I understood that yorkies get lighter as they age.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | How old is your baby? All yorkie babies have black and tan (or brown) coat and if they have white that means it will be lighter. I'm sure whatever color she/he is your baby will be beautiful! |
