| Does your yorkie not get along with another breed of dog? I just took Lacy to the dog park. It's been a while since we've been there. She normally gets along really well with most dogs. It's pretty hot today so the dogs weren't being too active, including Lacy who mostly just stayed close to me in the shade. Occasionally she would run after the other dogs and bark some but then come right back to me. After about 40 minutes a Siberian Husky came in. When the husky walked up to Lacy, Lacy started growling so I picked her up and Lacy just went crazy growling and barking. This has happened everytime she's been around a husky...so that I can remember anyway. I just don't understand what it is about Siberian Huskys that she hates so much. Are any of your yorkies breedist against another breed???

| Sadie doesn't like ANY big dog. Really, anything that's 25 lbs or more is enough for her. She likes all small dogs, though. You'll like our dog park when you get to come....we have a small dog side & a big dog side. So no run-ins with Huskys!

| I was about to go ask if there was a separate big and small dog area where we're having the dallas meetup. I don't mind her playing with big dogs but it would be so nice to have the option here for her to play with small dogs only. She had a boxer pin her down and bite her above her eye once (last time we went befor today). Luckily she didn't get hurt...

| OH yeah...I wouldn't go there if they didn't. I don't like big dogs myself unless I know them and their owner. Our little ones like to look through the fence at the big ones, though.

| Loki is afraid of yellow dogs. As in Goldens, Yellow Labs... but he's generally OK with black labs. Loki is wierd, but I am pretty sure he had a bad experience that caused it. Big dogs are hard for some Yorkies. Sammy doesn't freak out like Loki, but she backs away from big dogs and will go right up and sniff the little dogs. Slowly she warms up to the big dogs, but she is instantly buddies with the dogs her size.

| Paddington LOVES big dogs! The bigger, the better. His best friend is a Great Dane in our training class.... he fits in her mouth! When we were at the vet this weekend, there was a huge bull dog (I think that is what it was) and he was going nuts trying to play with this dog! It's really wild to see such a tiny dog trying to play with such huge dogs! There is a rottweiler (dunno how it's spelled) in our training class that he is scared of though. He hides behind me and puts his ears flat, and tail down when he sees her. I think it is because she had surgery and had to wear a cone though. I think the cone freaked him out, although it might be that he could sense that I am scared of her because I am terrified of that breed too! -O PS I hope that it isn't a yorkie thing to be afraid of siberian huskies, because I think they are gorgeous and really want one someday!

Donating YT 11K Club Member | No way...Teddy and London LOVE I mean LOVE ALL DOGS! I take them to yorkie meetups and out a lot so they can see other dogs and be social but i didn't know they would be like this! Sometimes I think they are too social LOL Even today London embarrassed me and my bf in front of tons of people at the park! Okay as soon as she sees ANY other dog she wants to run up to them right away and say hi. Well I don't let her with every dog cause you never know the other dog, and how they are with small dogs. Well there was this other dog there but he was sitting with the family cause they were having a picnic. I was on the other side of the lawn and London got all excited and tried to run to him. She couldn't cause I was holding on to the leash and she started screaming like if we were abusing her! I mean just because she badly wanted to see this other dog and she was perfectly fine but she is a drama queen! Everyone was looking at us. Teddy get's excited but he's not as bad as London lol we're working on calming them more and not running away. Teddy will occasionally growl only at boy dogs to protect London or me but he has only done this if they bother him a lot and if they're not neutered. He's only done this like twice.

| Bully @ the Dog Park! Artie hates: Boxers, Pitbulls, Mastiffs, Rottweilers,Dobermans, Great Danes and Akita's. I have been working with him lately.......trying to keep him relaxed as we are walking around the Lake @ the Dog Park, so he doesn't walk too far ahead of me and get into a possible confrontation? Abigail on the other hand I am "Training" to Sit down and give a warning snap, to any over ambitious male of any Breed, obnoxious males that try to hump her! And poor little 4 lb. Tiffany Aloha, is always the smallest one there......she just rolls up in a little ball until I pick her up. It irritates me that most "Big Dog" owners have the nerve to laugh at their own un-Trained, wild Animals and crack jokes......yes, I have devised a way to carry 3 Yorkies and kick-off the other Dog! If need be? I have the Luxury of living right next door to the Dog Park, so I have learned to avoid hectic times of the day. But I noticed that in general it's the other dogs "Energy", how they approach US? All 3 of mine are very calm at all times, except when they feel threatened in their personal space. |

| Given the really strong prey drive that Huskies have, it's probably smart of Lacy to let them know that she's a dog too and won't take any nonsense from them!

| My dogs just hate the labs next door. It is a good thing there is a 6 foot fence up or they would end of geting hurt trying to get at those guys. |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Bengi doesn't like big dog. He gets really scared in the dog park when one comes close to him. The truth is that he's never had the chance to spend enough time with a gentle big dog to understand that they are not gonna harm him, because I don't know anybody with whom he can have a play date. He is ok with small dogs, the closer to his size, the better. He gets along with his cousin, a mini pin, which is little big bigger than him, but also is much more stronger. The play good until they start to get tired and start to fight a little |
