| New girl Hey all, I just picked up my little girl today. She is five years old and such a sweetie. My daughter and I drove 4 hrs to get her and she was well worth it. She's laying in my lap sleeping, as I type. I have a question, her name is Zsa Zsa and I really don't like it. Can anyone give me suggestions on something similar to that so it won't be hard for her to adjust to it or should I just learn to like it? Rhonda |

| First of all congratulations on your new addition. New family members are GREAT no matter their age when they join you. In my humble opinion, you can/should rename her to whatever you want her name to be. Truely, I think the animal responds to the love in your tone when you say the name as much as the name itself. (I think this is my my Maggie will respond equally well to Maggie, Maggie Anne, Pumpkin', and Chief Yorkie Bitch of All the World! She hears the love and knows that I'm talking to/about her). We had a cat once named Bridget by my father. (Don't ask...he thought the cat "looked Irish".) Well, ol' Bridget was a male cat. When, several years later, my parents moved to an apartment, and had to find a new home for him, he went to live with my aunt and uncle. Their boys renamed him Thaddeus. He knew that was his name...had no problem learning it. Yet, whenever, we went to visit and called him Bridget, he remembered to respond to that too. Name your baby what you want! |

I have no idea on how to post pictures. Please help!! I think we are going with Sasha. When we call her by that name she comes to us. I think is sounds like Zsa Zsa to her. She is so adorable. She has taken up with me and my hubby. She follows me everywhere. She slept in the bed with us and Jasper (yorkie) last night. Rhonda | |

| Congratulations on your new baby!! I agree, name her what you want. Our breeder had been calling our baby "Dixie" .... we knew long before we found her that regardless, male or female, her name would be Toto and it is!! She doesn't seem to have an identity crisis at all!!
