| Yorkie temper tantrum I think I just saw my first Yorkie temper tantrum. We were eating tacos for dinner and Gizmo kept whining and barking. I do NOT give him people food and don't feed him from the table, but I think my son might have at one time. I kept telling Gizmo "no", but he wouldn't listen. After a couple of minutes of this, I pulled out THE CAN! . I shook it loudly and said "no" in a firm voice again. He then ran behind a chair close by, peeked around, gave a soft little growl and did a flip kind of thing. He gave us a "I'm not happy with you" look and then went to his food bowl (which I had filled with fresh, good food for him before dinner) and started eating his dinner. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen. These little guys have tempers! LOL (And this mama gave everyone in the house a refresher course on feeding/ not feeding Gizmo.)

| BUT MOM!!!! Isn't it funny....all it takes is once and they know the dinner table means food! Yet somehow they can't figure out the pee pad means pee!

| I HAVE to get Susanah on video throwing one of her tantrums. If I tell her "no", she tries again. After about the 3rd or 4th "no!" she gets mad and will whine and bark and stomp her two front feet! It is hilarious!

No Longer a Member | LOL...but you got that one nipped in the bud! Good work! Lately, we've been teaching Chloe "go to bed" when it's dinner time. We point to her bed and say "go to bed". You start by luring them with a treat, and doing it over and over again. Then you do it without the treat and treat after they sit in the bed. Then you wait until they stay. After a while, you don't need to use a treat--you just say "go to bed" and they'll go and stay. |

| When mine doesn't get his way, he does what I call "sassing." He will look me in the eye challengingly and then growl and even bark -- but it's always in a playful way. He usually does this when I try to break him up of his "under the furniture" fetish. He's convinced there's something he wants under every piece of furniture that has a space between it and the floor. He tries to dig under the couch, the buffet, the china cabinet and the stove. When I tell him to stop, he smart-mouths me! He'll also sulk sometimes when I scold him, giving me this pitiful look and laying down with his head on his hands.

| Oh, yeah. Our temper tantrums used to consist of kicking her back legs out. Now she scratches my couch, which she KNOWS I hate. My couch is a microfiber kind of material (feels like suede, but it's not)....so I'm scared to death she's going to scratch it.
