| Boobah-the Shock Of My Life WELL, IT HAPPENED AGAIN. JUST ABOUT 15 MINUTES AGO, MY LITTLE YORKIE,BOOBAH, WAS DOWNSTAIRS WITH MY BROTHER. HE WAS LYING ON THE COUCH. THE PUPPY IS ONLY 4 MONTHS OLD. SHE APPARENTLY WAS BITING ON THE AIR PURIFIER ELECTRIC CORD AND BIT THROUGH THE CORD. SHE WAS YELPING AND YELPING AND MY BROTHER WOKE UP AND GOT HER LOOSE. HE BROUGHT HER UP TO ME AND SHE WAS SHAKEN A BIT. AS I LOOK AT HER NOW SHE SEEMS NORMAL AND RUNNING AROUND AGAIN. I CAN'T EMPHASIZE ON HOW THESE PUPPIES HAVE TO BE WATCHED! MY FIRST TEACUP WAS FOUND DEAD ABOUT 1 MONTH AGO, I LEFT HER ALONE IN HER CRATE. BUT THE VET SAID IT WAS A KIDNEY MALFUNCTION.......ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS ALL OF YOU, PLZ WATCH YOUR LITTLE ONES. I AM STILL WATCHING HER THIS MINUTE AS I TYPE TO SEE IF SHE IS OK. SHE SEEMS FINE.

| if she was shocked by the electrical cord, you might want to see a vet asap.

| OMG! I would be so scared. I'm glad she seems okay. I'm suprised that she doesn't have burns in or around her mouth. I hope she stays okay. Let us know how she's doing later.

| I would take her to the vet just to get her checked out. If she was screaming, she was probably shocked with the electrical currents in the cord. If the air purifer wire has a short in it then the chances of her getting shocked is very likely. |

| Glad you are taking her to the vet. I do some electrical work and sometimes you can have complications from a shock. Thank goodness that it wasn't fatal!!! The vet will probabaly check out his heart and other vitals. Hope that all is well ..... will look for your next post!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Man that's scary and she's lucky to be alive ... I know it's a pain but sometimes you can hang the cords off the floors till they get out of the really bad chewing stage - good luck to you....I hope she's going to be ok |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | ps...I just saw your post about your little Maltese and am sorry. This site is full of information on small breeds and you should find just about anything you need to know here by using the search function or posting - I hope your new baby checks out at the vet. My friends dog did this with an Iron cord and wasn't so lucky..... Yorkies are VERY Curious by nature and you really have to watch them all the time. They're sneaky too - so watch for that they'll find stuff and hide with it especially if they know they aren't susposed to have it.... |
