| Thinking of getting second baby, but I need advise My little boy, JPop, is 1 1/2 yrs...and we're considering a new baby. We'd like a female, by JPop is so jealous and possessive I'm a little worried. He likes my 2 cats, but doesn't care for them to sit with me. He always has to jump up and sit with us too. What would you suggest as the best way to introduce him to a new baby? |

| i would do it somewhere netural .. like a friend or neighbor's house.. that way jpop won't feel like he has to protect his territory. thats what we did with bentley and max... and they have no problem with each other now!

| How long did this take; or did you introduce them and then take the new baby home with you? |

| I agree with the post above, try to introduce them in your front yard or at someone elses house. That way, JPop doesn't feel like the puppy is invading his territory. After they get used to each other, than you can bring the puppy home. Or, you can introduce them in a room where JPop dosn't frequently go and doesn't consider "his" We introduced Riley and TJ in the dining room because Riley didn't really consider that his territory. Ya know? Last edited by Midge5353; 06-11-2005 at 07:24 AM. |
