| groomers I need to find a groomer and do not know how to go about it! I moved 6 months ago and I had a family used groomer at home so never had to look for one - but now im stuck needing my babys hair done and im scared to just take her somewhere! How do i know a good groomer from a bad one - not only could she get a bad cut but im also conserned on how she will be treated while she is there! Any suggestions on what to look for or questions i can ask - or better yet anybody in the Helena, AL area? Thanks guys!!

| I would say recommendations from other pet owners would be your best bet. Good luck, I know what your talking about. |

| Try posting here in your regional forum. Locals will know the best groomers. Look up top of the page just under YorkieTalk.com. There is a link that says Regional.

I agree. Don't just look through the phone book that's what I did like an idiot and the lady knew NOTHING about Yorkies. She cut my baby's quick and kept telling me there was no reason a puppy's ears needed to be trimmed. I kept asking her questions about how to groom him assuming she was a dog expert but she knew nothing, only how to yell at dogs....So make sure you go to someone who you were referred to by a trusted source, such as your vet, your best friend, the breeder (if in your area, etc.) that know about how to care for these specific dogs or at least toy breeds. Groomers that only do big dogs tend to be extremely rough with little breeds as well. This is definitely a more serious decision than I realized... Good luck!
