| are bully sticks safe? I just bought Gizzie a Bully stick from the pet store. I used to give her little rawhide bones until I learned they can be deadly. Thanks YT. Are bully sticks safer? |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | bully sticks are much safer then rawhide. Our pups are less likely to bite off pieces of the bully stick and swallow them like the rawhide. Plus i believe they are less fattening. morgan loves Pixie Stix from www.beyondspoiled.com

| Any chewy needs to be given when they are supervised. Bully sticks are better than rawhide because they are digestable

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | if i may, certain bully sticks do stink something terrible. the ones i bought at the pet store always smelled funky. Thats why i usually stick with Flossies and pixie sticks. less odor, great taste! (or so i'm told by morgan)

ooo really???? they aren't stinky like ones at the pet store? i've heard Cindy talk about her ebay guy before. i've checked it out but never purchased because morgan is a slow chewer and it would take forever to go thru a bulk supply. they sound perfect tho for a good chewer especially if they don't stink

| Lacy loves bully stix. I like to give her the Merrick Flossies. I think bully stix are much safer than rawhides but I still like to supervise her.

| Some dogs will get diarrhea from those things and I'm not sure if they are as safe and they should be since they are "real" skin and I don't know what type of perservatives are on them. I do know there was a recall on them awhile back. |
