| over the top?? no i don't think so. romeo at 13 weeks weighed 3.45 pounds. and looking at him no one has ever commented on how "big" he is. they always say how small and round though then want to pick him up to sqeeze him.

| My Juju Bean is 13 weeks old and weighs 2 1/4 lbs. They gain weight at different speeds. Betty weighed about what Juju weighs now when she was her age. Now, at 8 months, she is over 8 lbs.! It doesn't seem like your baby will be tiny, though. But...you never know!

| Kalina is 12 weeks and weighs 2lb 3oz. My breeder said that her sire, who weighs 3 1/2 lbs full grown, just suddenly stopped growing at some point. They thought he was going to get much bigger, but he just slowed down at a young age. I think all dogs are just different. I wanted a dog that wasn't going to be too small. Kalina sounds tiny, but she is very stocky for her size. I'm hoping she gets to be about six or seven pounds.

| Gizmo is around 15 1/2 weeks old (right Diggy4? lol) and he weighs at least 3.6 lbs. I say "at least" because I know he's put on some more weight the past few days. I agree with the others that "normal" is relative. What's important is that your baby is healthy! And CUTE! But we need to see photos to tell the cute part!!! Please????

| you really never know. they slow down then they have spurts. sometimes they just stop. unless you know the parents and the grandparents, it is hard to determine their size. i had a boy who had a three lb growth spurt after a year of age. he wasn't fat, he grew taller and longer.

| Oscar went to vet today for shots and he weighed 3.8--he is 14 weeks old. He has short, little legs, so he looks a little "chunky" to me compared to Emmy when she was this size.

| I got Jake at 10 weeks, and he weighed 1 lb., 10 oz. He will be a year old in a few days and he weighs 4 lbs. 8 oz. All puppies grow and gain and different times. Do you know the size of your baby's parents? That helps somewhat in determining what his size could be. |

| Knowing the size of the parents does not help with determining the size of your pup. Grandsires & granddam are more of a determining factor as well as tightly line breeding and knowing your line.
