Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | Advice Please Okay guys I need some help for a friend...her screen name is Taradessauer and she is my ex husbands fiance (long story but she is one of my great friends) Okay she has Zoey (Diggy and Bellas half sister) She is a little over a year old. She has Boston..a s**tzu maltese mix (i think) and he is 4 months. He came to her dehydrated, and had camplyobacter virus.... she is a VERY worried mommy and needs advice from you smarties out there!! Okay so she fought and fought the camp. virus and the poops for awhile and did a great job keeping Zoey from getting it. I know it is VERY contagious.... So like 2 months go by and both dogs had clean bills of health...until last weekend...here is her story from the weekend... She posted this yesterday.... Last Thursday my one year old yorkie ate an entire bowl of dogfood that wasn't hers. She had diarhea all night long. Every hour from 12-6 am. Friday she was a lot better but stilla bit runny stool. Gave her a chicken breast and some rice and she seemed to be feeling fine, eating, playing. We went out of town for the weekend and puppysitter said she still had runny stool and last night when we got home she was still active and eating, gave her more chicken and rice, she had diarhea again last night from 1-5 this morning. Could this really still be from eating a different dog food. It's noon now and she hasn't got since 3 this morning??????? Okay Zoeys is better I think....but now Boston has it....she is really really really upset ...I feel so bad for her as she is just like all us, Crazy over her babies..... I probably left some things out so I am sure she will respond and update things I didnt mention but please try and help her....

| I don't know about Zoey, but Otis's belly is VERY sensitive. If I changed foods too fast, or if he got a hold of any people food ( I've never given him people food) He would get the "bubble guts" and have diarrhea for a few days. Wasn't she at your house last night? Is it contagious? I think if Otis ate a whole bowl of different food, yes it would definately upset his tummy for a couple days.

| zoey/boston Boston maybe had a couple of bites but that was almost a week ago. He's been fine. Just this morning he was pooping the runs and even let out a little yelp while pooping. He pooped at 2 and it was solid and hasn't pooped since but hasn't ate his dog food today. Only chicken and rice. I guess I just need to know am i being paranoid. Do dogs sometimes get upset stomachs like we do? Can they have runny stool without a virus or eating the wrong food? |

| zoey/boston Boston is a s**t-chow mix. He has been clear of the camplyobacter virus for over a month! I fully believe Zoey's runs were due to her eating the WHOLE bowl of beneful(silly girl). She's been pooping solid and regular for 2 1/2 days now. |

| My two get runny poop when I feed them too much meat. Maybe they are getting a bit too much chicken. I hope they get feeling better soon.

| I am dealing with this same situation with my babies.... 3 weeks ago they all had some sort of "virus" that I am not curious isnt the one you mention here... they went on anti biotics, brown rice and chicken, got better, we started intorducing dog food back and now 2 of them have the runs again. the vet put them all on a "worming" medication that would ay type of parasite they may have.. it is soooo frustrating.... I wish that someone would come up with a cure for whatever this is... d

Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | Poor Baby That sounds awful.....I am thinking maybe Boston jst cannot handle chicken. I hea that gives a lot of babies the poops... I just feel bad it seems like Tara never just gets to relax...if it's not one thing with her babies it's another...

| It is a virus Boston has the camplyobacter virus AGAIN!!! He tested at a 4 and Zoey at a mild 1. They are both on Eurythromycin and boston is on a gel too. No more chicken, I'm giving them rice and ground turkey. So frustrating that he picked it up again. |
