| Carrier? This may be an extremely silly question but when and why do you use your carrier? Tucker loves to be out and about and typically we just have him on a leash. In the car he has an Outward Hound lookout seat that he rides along in. I did buy a carrier for him but I haven't used it and I'm just wondering if I even need one. I would like to hear how you use your carrier. Thanks!

Donating YT 11K Club Member | I have a carrier but I usually use it in the winter. In the summer time I just let them walk, or carry London w/o one..

| I like to take Chloe with me anywhere I can and so carriers come in handy. If I going somewhere with lots of other dogs or to a craft fair or somethign I like to use my front pouch carrier so I have hands free and chloe can see everything. I use my closed-in carriers for travel or sneaking chloe places Actually I dont sneak her places she isnt supposed to be, usually I just go places with Chloe and I dont want everyone to know I have her with me or else everyone stops us and wants to pet her and talk about her for a long long time so if Im trying to make a quick shopping trip and I want to bring Chloe I bring her in a handbag-looking carrier so I dont get stopped a million times

| I used to have the Outward Hound car seat for Tobi, but we got rid of it because he either LOVED it or HATED it. We couldn't figure him out..he just would NOT stop barking and jumping around, so we got a crate for him. We use this crate mainly for travel...he doesn't sleep in it as he sleeps in his x-pen. Tobi didn't like traveling in the crate at first, but after his 2nd time in the crate he seems to enjoy it now.

| I bought one to crate train my baby. Well, that was a waste of money! I could not stand leaving him in such a small space for any length of time. Plus, his mom was already potty ttrained when we got her, and he'd whine at night because she was up running free. So now he sleeps with us, and uses his collar and leash anywhere we go. We bought him a dog seat for the car, he hated it because he couldn't get to me, so that was another waste of money! I think the only time we will ever use our carrier is when he has to go to the vets, or if we take him on a plane!

| I use mine when I don't want a lot of attention from people stopping me everywhere, especially when we're going somewhere where dogs usually aren't allowed to go, like a restaurant, or the movies, etc. (Wobie's a sevice dog in training.) I usually just tell a manager what I'm doing, and the employees don't even know he's there.

| I use mine for safety in the car, times when I want to go places w/my pups but don't want them to be handled by others or be stopped a ton of times. And just to sneak them in, although usually I ask before I bring my dogs anywhere. |

| so far I have used mine when we went on the boat (I was carrying a lot of stuff and there were a lot of people, didn't want her to get stepped on) and she also used it on the boat to go and take little naps on. I also use mine when we go to places like the flea market or town festivals or fairs that we have. just so she doesn't get stepped on with all the people around. I let her walk a lot, but when we are going through congested areas, I put her in her carrier so she isn't scared....and so I know she is safe.

| I live in NYC and when i bring him in to work with me i have to ride the train and unless you have a seeing eye dog all other small dogs need to be in a carrier while on the train so that's why i have mine. I also just bough a celltei one which i cant wait to use next week on my trip to North Carolina via Jet Blue. That's why i have two carriers lol

| I have 2 hard carriers that my guys use during the day when we are gone. The doors are left open and they use them as beds. I'm thinking of replacing them with a bed. I also have 2 Sherpa Carriers which I would heartily recommend. I first got them to carry a previous dog on a plane. My guys now each have one and we use them for all car travel and as beds in the TV room. If you pick up the Sherpa bag, they both jump in!! |
