| New to the Yorkie world Hi everyone, our family has just reserved our first yorkie from a fantastic breeder, and we are very excited to join the group! I've enjoyed reading different discussions, and I know that this forum will be a great place to get support during those crazy puppy days. We have a very docile 7 year old lab, and have never owned a terrier, so I'm sure life will get very interesting! If anyone has any advice on how to best prepare for the pup, or anything unique to owning a small dog, please share your wisdom! We haven't decided on girl/boy yet either, so any thoughts? Thanks for your time, and I look forward to the relationships that will develop through this forum! Rachel |

| Welcome to Y.T.!!!...All I can say on the decision of which sex is it was best making up my mind in person...I have two boys, but I fully intended to get a girl each time...when I got to the breeders home to see them in person my eyes went like a magnet to a boy. lol.... No matter how bad I wanted the girl the connection just wasn't happening for me....I wouldn't dream of purchasing one now w/o seeing it in person....I have not regretted my decision at all ...Good luck w/ your new family member
