| size of Yorkie Hi, I have just joined this group. Our yorkie, Lincoln, joined our family in February. At the time he was about 3 lbs. and about 9 weeks old. The breeder told us he would probably be a little over 8 lbs full grown. He is now about 7 months old and weighs a little over 10 lbs. i have this feeling he still has a little growing to do. He is not fat just big. Does anyone have a Yorkie this size? all the ones we have seen so far are all much smaller than him. Karen |

| Baxter is 5 months and weighed 7 lbs about two weeks ago. I don't believe he is done growing. I recently saw a couple of really small Yorkies - I believe with my life style and home life - I'm glad my Yorkie is on the larger size - The smaller ones really need a lot more attention. They seem very fragile - Very cute - but very fragile. |

| Mine too, a big one. About 11 lbs. He is cute, all yorkie with no doubt, 100% AKC papered and we're happy with him. More to love and easy to take care of, more hair to brush, which I love. We are going to grow long coat because his hair silky, shiny and do not tangle. I think it's going to make a real statement - huge, silky hairy yorkie with a show quality coat . We just love him to pieces and I'm sure you love yours no matter what size he is. |

| He won't be so delicate and should be able to do more things with you and roughhouse with the best of them.

| Don't be concerned he may be larger than the standard. There are lot's of Teapots on this site. They are sturdier and just as loving as their little brothers and sisters. This is Buddy. He is 15.5lbs. He was 13.5 for two years I have no idea how he gained two more lbs. Hoping the vet's scale was wrong. I wasn't thrilled but what can you do? He's healthy and the love of my life. Welcome to YT |

| My guy is 11.5 and I couldn't be happier. I was told when I got him that he would be a big one...they thought maybe 15 lbs. I didn't care...I couldn't pass up that cute baby boy.

| Yes Yes Yes. When we got Bobo, the breeder said that he would max out at about 7 lbs. Well now he's 14 lbs! I'm so glad though and wouldn't trade him for anything. If I were to get another yorkie, I would seek out a bigger one. I love the fact that I don't have to be so gentle with him. |

| JD is 15lbs. I was told he would only get to be 5. I love the fact that he is bigger. I don't worry about hurting him as much. |

| there are lots of big ones on this forum. I got one of 'them there gals' my self. being bigger doesn't mean they are big. they are still small in the dog world. and cute as a button too.
