| get the small one that goes to 16 feet. Between my daughter and I, we have 4 yorkies and that is the size we love. Our yorkies range from 9 pounds down to 3 pounds.

| I bought 5 pound Maxwell the intermediate one because it goes 26 feet. I keep it locked shorter, of course, when necessary; but he loves to run and can't be trusted off leash. This gives him a long run. |

| I agree. I have the small and mini, and I like the small better. 16 feet just gives more room, and it's a sturdier leash.

| I was thinking of getting one of these for my front yard for Vickie. Since it's so long, does your dog get tangled on stuff? |

| I think you would find the 10 ft one to be just too short. I have the 16 ft one and I am very happy w/it. |

| I have the Mini that goes 10ft. I have one for each Hootie and Hobbs. I prefer the shorter one because when I'm talking both or all three dogs, the lead needs to be short so it won't get tangled. If you are only going to be walking one dog at a time, then the longer, 16ft one, should be fine. |

| I applaud all of you who know how to use one of them. I have tried and tried and can't figure it out. I ended up trying to grab the cord one time and my husband said, I was very lucky that it didn't slice my hand. But I think I'm probably the only one who doesn't know how to use a retractable leash.

| Actually, Maxwell can get tangled around anything and everything. It drives my husband crazy. It's pretty funny sometimes. We also have a 50' lead for when we are hanging around outside. The retractable is pretty easy to untangle. Hold the dog, retract the leash, presto. I don't let kids use it with him because they aren't alert enough to know when he needs to be on a short or long leash. |

| We use the Flexi 1 Classic LONG that is for 26lbs but goes 26 feet. I DO NOT walk my dogs on their flexis and people who do and don't lock them drive me crazy. "No, my 6lb dog does not want your 60lb dog's nose up her butt, no matter how friendly he is." Anyway, we use them because we do not have a fence and they are trained to go straight out to the yard and back. We need the 26 ft one because the 16ft one barely clears the sidewalk and they like more room to sniff out their spot. I find that the 26 ft one has less tension than the 16 ft one, and has a slightly bigger handle which is easier to hold.

| That's true, the 26 ft. has a bigger handle so even my husband's big hands are comfy with it. |

Lulu is 2.5 lbs and I accidentally ordered the bigger one. It's too big for walking her. It's heavier than she is. I have to get a smaller one. I think you picked the best for his size.
