| I planned a vacation..w/o Buttercup! OH MY GOD! I feel horrible. I planned a last minute mini-vacation to San Antonio to take my husband's nieces and nephews along with my son to Seaworld and Schlitterbahn (waterpark) and I totally forgot about my poor little 'booger'. I reserved a resort that doesn't allow pets of any sort, except if they're assisting the disabled. I went crazy for a second and just totally forgot he existed. I don't plan on boarding so I think I'll have to cancel my reservation and find another place. Has anyone ever forgotten they had a yorkie or other pets? |

| I've never forgotten, but I also think it's perfectly fine to take a trip minus the fur babies I haven't so far.. I'm getting married on an island and all 4 are coming with me! I must be nuts, lol. But in the future, when I find arrangements that I'm comfortable with, I think I'll take a fur baby free trip |

| I went on a mini vacation last week for 3 days. I worried about my babies so much, but i finally decided that they would be safer if I boarded them. I boarded them at my vet. Their policy is to take them out 3 times a day for a walk and I was a little upset about that, but I know one of the techs and she said that they are always playing with them outside. She said that they are out a lot more that just 3 times a day and they have lots of toys and playground and swimming pool for them. All the girls at the office love Hannah and Bentley and I knew that they would spoil them. They took really good care of them, their blankets was washed and they were clean and their coats were combed. I hope you can find some place to leave your babies that you will be comfortable with. |

| Wow! I wish you were going through Waco! You could stop and take a play break and then maybe leave Buttercup with Gizmo to play while you are on vacation. But I guess you are close to Houston....well, I'll just be sad now

| Just a lapse in memory, lol! I don't think Buttercup's feelings will be hurt! Good luck finding accomodations that allow pets, or maybe finding him a good sitter!

| I don't like taking vacations without Lacy. I just took my first one without her almost a month ago. My parents, sister, and I went to Branson and stayed in our timeshare condo. They don't allow pets. I tried so hard to convince my parents that I really doubt anyone would notice if she was there and I could find a boarding place there for backup but they just didn't think it was a good idea. So she stayed with a good friend in Dallas for the 5 days I was gone. My friend has a yorkie too and I knew she'd take good care of her, but I was still sooo worried about her the whole time I was gone. I had to force myself to only call and check on her once a day. Anyways - College Station is only an hour away from Cypress if you need someone to watch him a couple days.

| I know its hard but you still have to take a vacation w/out your furkids sometimes. Just like people w/children have to get away w/out their skinkids. Don't beat yourself up, just find them a place you trust and go and have a nice time! |

| I would occasionally "forget" I have Tia...mostly when I'm on my way home from work and thinking of how I would like to take a little cat nap before preparing dinner......something that I never get to do now that Tia is in my life. As soon as I get home she's so happy to see me, and when I see her, I don't really feel like napping anymore! As for the Vaca....my husband and I are going to Italy for 25 days, without Tia We new about this before we bought her in January. Luckily my friend whom we have playdates with her dogs will take her in. Tia just loves Sandra and her dog Ruby. So I'm not worried a bit....but I sure will miss her, and I bet I'll bring back more souvenires for Tia than for myself....some gourmet doggy biscotti....cute Italian outfits....foreign toys!

| I agree with you on that. The only problem I have is separation anxiety. I can never leave my son whenever I'm gone for more than a day. He's been on every vacation I've been on, except my honeymoon . He goes everywhere with me, even when I'm running errands, he's right by my side. And I feel the same way about Buttercup. I think I'd feel better if he was with me. |

| You probably had alot on your mind, trying to book a vacation and just slipped your mind. I don't think it's a bad thing if you don't take him. I understand your not wanting to leave him though. My hubby wants to go away for a weekend, and I won't leave Jake...so, he's looking for pet friendly places lol Have fun, wherever you decide to go! |
