| Quiet Grooming Clippers hello, Do any of you have any suggestions on some quiet grooming clippers for our little yorkie? We keep his hair pretty short because it is a little wavy and looks a little like dreds when long. Anyhow, any suggestions would be great! Thanks! |

| I ran through some other posts on here and the wahl peanut seems to be well liked. I priced one at Sally's, it wasn't bad. I don't remember how much. My husband had a clipper and we use that, but it is loud. Someday, I might accidently drop it, then I will go buy the peanut....

| The cordless ones seem to be quieter than the ones that plug in. I just bought a set at Sally's for about $45, but it is the corded kind and it is NOT quiet. Loki is used to being clipped every 4-6 weeks since he was a baby so he is OK with them. Sammy hates them, so I know how that goes. When I went to Sally's I asked for the mid-range ones. Cheap ones won't do Yorkie hair. I wanted to buy real "grooming" clippers from Pet Edge but most of them were like $120 and that was way out of my budget since I only clip Loki in the summer when he gets practically shaved every 2 weeks. I clip him in between trips to the groomer so he stays cool. In the winter I just let him grow out between grooming appts.
