| I'm a Terrible Mommy! Today I went to Lacrosse - about 2 1/2 to 3 hrs from Madison depending on traffic. A co-worker got married and had the reception on a luxury boat. I left at 10:00 am and expected to be home tonight about 10:00 pm. My friends offered to come over and check on Tink, let her out, make sure she got some water, play with her. I told them to come over about 2:00 and then they were going to come back about 4:00 and take her home with them after a graduation party. I was planning to get her when I got home. Well, at 2:20 I got a call on my cell that the key I left for them didn't work in the door! I gave them my extra key and had never checked it in the lock. Poor Tink was stuck in her crate! I called the emergency maintenance number and left a message for them. They called me back, but wouldn't go over and let my friends in because they didn't know if I was who I said I was and they certainly didn't know my friends. I can't blame them, but I was sure hoping they would do it. We were on a boat in the middle of the Mississippi and I had to wait for us to get back to the pier before I could head back home and it's a 2 1/2 hr drive if all goes well. We got back to the pier at 5:00, by the time we got off the boat and my friend retrieved my car it was 5:45. We raced home! I made the trip in 2 hrs. Traffic was flying so I flew with it. Tink was frantic to get out of her crate but she didn't potty in it at all. Bless her little frightened heart. I've never left her that long and then to leave her cooped up in her crate for all that time with just having had hip surgery. Good grief, I deserve to be labeled and hung on a pole. "Here hangs Susie, mother of Poor Little Tinkerbelle, the maligned and mistreated darling Yorkiepoo of Madison." Then, she gives me a thousand kisses all over my face! I don't deserve her! But, I'm awfully glad to have her. |

| I'm glad she's OK. You are not a bad mommy. You thought you had made proper arrangements for her. You just have to take a deep breath, she's fine. And she's obviously so full of love for you she just has to kiss you. I'm glad she's doing so well after her surgery! Repeat after me....I am a great Mommy, Tink loves me and knows how much I love her.

| Let's see she did not potty in her crate, she was upset alittle and she gave you thousands of kisses.....I would say you are a good mommy, and Tink must agree she was thrilled to see you.

| Poor Tink. She was probably thinking "what is going on?" Thank goodness she was able to hold her potty, and didn't hurt herself inside the crate. Things happen though, and we suffer guilt because we love them so very much. You are a wonderful Momma to Tink.

| awww you're not a bad mommy because if you were, you wouldn't be feeling so bad and being so hard on yourself! Tink loves you unconditionally, and she knows you love her the same! Sometimes things happen that are beyond our control, but Tink is safe and happy to have mommy back home. And what a good little girl for holding it so long! |

| Tink thinks you're a great mommy...I'm sure she got some much needed rest today. You did all that you could do, and you didn't even get a speeding ticket...lucky you!!! She probably didn't get frantic...until she saw you were frantic...they can tell when we're upset. So don't fret over it, everything is fine...Tink's fine, and she showed it with all those doggie kisses!!!

| Winston's fiesty as ever, thanks for asking...Poor little guy will probably be anemic by the time they're done drawing all that blood for test. She told me to be sure he's well hydrated, in hopes they won't have trouble getting enough blood. At least there will be a few days between draws...And Winston sends Tink love too and to tell her he's sorry she was all alone today. Some times I think he likes it when we leave him alone, he gets all rested up!!!

| Oh Susie,Susie, Susie.... you are NOT a bad mommy to Miss Tinker. If she was mad at you, she wouldn't have kissed you to death! But if you insist that you are such a bad mom , maybe you should send on over.. I know it is an awful feeling when we realize something like that. I think I had to leave mine for about 6 hours once and I'm sure I was way more upset than they were. Just give her a little extra love and a treat and you'll both feel better! |

| I agree you are a great mommy! If you were bad, you would have said, Oh well, Tink can hold it, I'm just going to party on and not worry about it. You obviously did everything you could to try to get her out, and I'm sure your day was ruined thinking about your poor baby. Now, that's a good mommy. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Oh, honey, it's okay! I know how you feel that "mommy guilt" though. I lived in Madtown for 4 years....I loved it! I still miss it, such a great town.
