| Fur Question I just have a question, spencer is 1 years old now and his fur is still curly. Like after ig give him a bath it comes out curly-ish and when he's dry and i brush him it's puffy kind of. I just wanted to know when his fur will be straight and not so curly. Thanks for the help guys & I hope you guys have a safe and fun weekend

YT 500 Club Member | I am not an expert, but my Sophie is nearly 6, and her hair is the same way. She has never had the straight, silky hair. She is cottony. She is still very beautiful, and her color is very good. However, she does have a problem with matting because of the coat. Pantene has been a miracle for the matting problem. Maybe someone else has a better answer, but if your pup is like mine, it may always be like that.

| Does your baby have silky, wirey, or cottony type hair? Yorkies hair are similar to human hair. It helps to blow dry the hair when it's wet. While blow drying you can comb the hair and that can straighten out most of the hair. Works for me. |

| Ellie is almost 6 and she has a cottony coat. It is wavy and it never parted down the middle. She is a purebred. We used to have a problem with matting but it all of a sudden stopped and she rarely gets brushed now. There is no need for it.

| It will probably stay how it is now. I have two with some curl- Gracie has a silky coat but does have some curl in her hind quarters, especially when shes wet. Sugar has a soft coat and he's a poof ball.

| It sounds like the coat has already changed from the puppy coat, so its probably the texture it will stay. Like Buttercup says, try blowdrying, it helps. I don't know how reccomended this is by others, but I use a lot of human products on Wobie, because we kind of have the same hair type, lol: curly and poofy and frizzy. So you can try some hair products meant to relax the curls in curly or wavy hair.

| Yeah, our one boy, Rascal has more of a cottony coat and his gets curly kinda. We also blow dry him to make it straight. I put extra conditioner in his hair to also help with it. He mats easier then the other 2 .. the other two has silky coats. But Truly he is beautiful as well as his coat.

| I have a 15 month old with curly cottony hair. I use milksheen shampoo and he really poofs up, but his hair gets sooooo soft.
