| Why would you or why would you not? I was at the pet store yesterday buying a bag of Low fat Innova dog food and a lady was there looking for food and she commented on how poor of quality Innova was, she was surprised that a high end pet store like the one we were in would even sell it. Now I did my research and did not think that Innova was bad at all. So my question is would you or would you not use Innova and why? Thanks to everyone who response, I just want to make sure I did not over look something when making this decision! |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Innova is a great food! Sounds like your unsolicited "advisor" had her info wrong. I think it's right up there w/ Orijen, Canidae, Wellness, TW etc...

| It is a very good quality food, It is holistic meaning only using whole pieces of food, like turkey, chicken, apples, carrots, potatoes. It is very good quality and it's manufactured by its own company not by the mass production company with all the recalled foods. I did a lot of research on food through reading labels and using the website www.dogfoodanalysis.com and I am feeding both my cat and yorkie Innova. She is obviously misinformed! |

| I would say it's a very good one and after much research a couple years ago, that's what I started feeding Tatum. I think she's just misinformed. What was she feeding hers?

| I used Innova EVO for a long time and found it to be a fantastic food -- I switched to Canidae because I was concerned about the high protein level. It sounds like she wanted to be an expert without doing her homework. Or maybe perhaps she has tried the Innova and it didn't work for her so it became a "bad food". |

Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | I feed Innova Puppy and Evo. Have to my ferrets for 4 years (innova cat) it was one of the highest in Taurine, essential to ferrets. I researched long and hard on foods being the home cooking thing is overwhelming me (i am about to give it another whirl tho ) Innova is a great food. Only down fall to me is the amount of protein. I am switching off Innova due to that fact alone....but thats a far cry from "low quality" food. I get very frustrated when I see uninformed people putting what they think is good for their babies in their mouths and boasting about it...not so much food choice as like....well yesterday a yorkie owner commented on bully sticks how "gross and disgusting" they are How could I feed that to my baby??? I asked what do you give yours...Reply- RAWHIDE I just smiled and say oh....well you might wanna look up what thats made of.

| I'm being amazed sometimes what people feed their Yorkies.. I went to a bakery with Pepper last weekend (it's a local place and they love Yorkies )and the owner came out and we started chatting about Yorkies (she owns one too) and she started listing what she feeds hers, I almost tripped! Her dog won't eat dog food so she eats what the lady does - pasta with sauces, dinner meals, she even told me she gives donuts and other cookies to her Yorkie . And those are not baked donuts, I'm talking Polish donuts deep-fried and with glaze on top...
