| OT My cat is delivering but stopped in the middle, still more kitties cause mine is in labor and she only delivered 1 kitten at 8pm this evening and no more since. It is 1:00am now She just wants to lay on her side and relax, and wants me to be with her and gently stroke her big belly. She has eaten some kitten food and drank some ice water also. She doesn't seem to be "laboring" anymore? BUT I know she has more kittens in there. You can feel them. Also her 1st baby was stillborn. I tried clearing his nose and throat, gently rubbing and the "swing" method to clear him. But just nothing I tried my hardest to get him going like I when our Beagles are birthing. I had quite a bit of practice when our CJ bore 9 pups in 2 hours. She got so tired and overwhelmed I had to help her out, to the point of gently pulling a few out while she contracted, she was so tired. And even breaking 1 of their sacs and rubbing them to get him going then she took over with the cord and placenta. She just couldn't do it all in the short time it happened. Sorry got a bit off of the subject by relating Bitch/Queen births, lol I have heard it can be normal if the Queen has 2 diff (Dad)cats babies in her that labor will stop until the next are ready, usually within 24-48 hours. I just don't know. She is sill slightly bleeding from the vulva also. i have had cats all my life just never have they had kittens. She was a stray who wandered into our yard last June and she was in then, probably 4-6 weeks. Living out in the country people seem to dump off their unwanted pets and they seem to end up at my house, I am an animal lover and can't turn them in to be destroyed Hopefully everything will go ok with this birth and then i am going to have her spayed. After her kittens are homed of course Thanks if you got this far, as this is so not Yorkie Talk related. Just hoping someone here has been there done that kind of thing. As i didn't know where to turn to at this time of night Any info would be greatly appreciated! |

| I have no advice, sorry. 30-40 cats have passed in and out of my life in the last 15 years, but I've never personally delivered kittens. Good luck, keep us updated, and I'll be thinking about you and your mommy cat.
