| i agree he is very young to be away from his mom... layla came home at 12 weeks and even then she cried. you can get heated pads that have a tick tock in them or just get a clock for him so he feels comforted |

BANNED! | 7 weeks is way to young, he is scared to death the poor baby. Please be very careful with your furbaby as they can have health issues from being weaned to early and not getting all the proper nutrients from mommy. I was told by a breeder who has been doing this for over 40 years that liver shunt issues can actually be caused by weaning to early, so watch your baby closely. Make sure your baby eats well and often to avoid hypoglycemia as well. Good luck with your new furkid!!! |

| I got my little one at 12 weeks and we made her stay in her crate at bedtime for about 2 weeks... The first few days were horrible... we would move her right next to our bed but she would still whimper, cry howl, anything to get our attention.... It stoped completely after a few days... One thing we noticed though, is that part of the reason she was crying was to tell us she had taken a poop in her crate (she refuses to sleep anywhere even near her poop.... So part of what made it stop was daddy getting up and cleaning her crate in the middle of the night... We didnt let bailey sleep with us when we first got her because at a half pound she it was just too scarey (the thought of rolling over her) I would keep persisting with the crate thing... Until your little one gets a little older, unless you dont mind waking up with some suprises on your bed.... |

| It'll be really a lot of crying at first (especially because he is SOOO little) but try playing classical music or the type they play when you get a massage (I hope you know what I mean). This worked for me the first night I brought my baby home, and he has been in his crate since, and he LOVES it. Also, be sure to give a treat every time he goes in there so he knows that is a good place to be! Hope this helps! Good luck and welcome to YT!

| Oh I Feel So Much For You - I Went Through The Same Thing With Harvey. When We Brought Him Home He Was 8 Weeks Old, And We Intended To Crate Him, He Cried And Cried And It Broke Our Hearts To Listen To Him. So He Slept With My Daughter For 4 Nights. This Was Not The Answer As She Was Not Getting Her Proper Sleep (afraid Of Hurting Him) - So I Was Encouraged By My Vet To Start As I Intended To Carry On, And In His Crate He Went, He Did Cry For About 4-5 Nights, But Then Got Used To It, I Still Fed Him In The Crate And Tried To Make It A Happy Place For Him. He Still Sleeps In His Crate Now And He Is 15 Months Old - I Cant Say He Loves It But He Knows The Routein And Goes In Himself Most Of The Time. All I Can Say To You Is Be Brave And Continue With Training Him To Sleep Where You Want Him To Be. I Know It Is Heart-breaking, And With Them Being So Little Too Good Luck - It Will Get Better......

| When Wobie came home, he slept with me, because I knew that it would be okay later in his life. But if you don't want him sleeping with you later, then don't let him sleep with you now.

| I think he's just soooo young that he needs to be close to someone at night, he's probably missing his mommy. I got Jake at 10 weeks, and I've always slept with him because I love having him close to me. |

Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | I agree, sleep with him or VERY near him (some are afriad they will roll on him). Maybe your hand touching him?? mine was 7 weeks when I got him which is WAYYYYY too young to be away from mom and sibs. I had to take him, he had poor living conditions. I have fought with hypoglycemia BAD they have seizures from it and you need to be aware of what to watch for in such a young pup. He is a pck animal neaning he needs the warmth and love of others. Diggy is now 13 weeks and I STILL sleep with a matress in my living room floor so he can come to me as he pleases or needs me. I have found he has started wanting to lay a lil ways form me (about 8 inches) not touching me but feels my movements. Your baby needs to stay warm....coldness can cause sugar to drop due to body trying to warm its self. I do not mean to scare you just PLEASE be careful....I dont want you to go through what I have, it's so hard and so easily avoided with education and some love! I had no idea and have learned through my vet and this website....Keep us posted and happy snuggling!
