| Prayers Needed I am so upset right now and really need all your prayers and well wishes. Last night a friend of ours came over to vist and asked to hold Daisy, I explained to her how careful she had to be. A few minutes later she just set her down and Daisy fell off the couch and hurt her front leg. I feel like it is all my fault for not paying better attention. She was crying for about 3 minutes and holding her paw up all funny. I was so upset I just held her and cried with her. She was limping around and would not put any weight on her leg but was not crying anymore. So I was just praying it was just sprained. I just now got back from the vets as no one would see her until today. It is not good, according to the x-rays her front elbow is broken and the vets feel there is nothing they can do other than just try to set it as she is so small. So tomorrow she goes in first thing to have them set the bones to see if that will fix her. The bones are not too badly out of place so we are hopeing they will fuse. The vet is worried because of the growth something?? is damaged and her leg may not grow, and she may have permanent damage to her leg. I am so heartbroken, I love her so much and hope that her little bone is able to heal. She is too precious to be going through this and I am I think in shock. | I can't imagine how you feel right now, except you should not feel like you did something wrong. Yorkies are very small and these things tend to happen. Just hope for the best. I am sure your baby will be just fine. Try not to think about the worst...be positive and keep your head up! You baby will sense you are upset and you don't want that! Keep us updated please!

| Don't worry it's not your fault. I am totally overly annoyingly protective over Coco too. Now I know that I am doing the right thing. They are so small and anything could happen. Your friend should have been more careful, especially after you told her to be extra careful. Did you friend offer to help with vet bills, since she caused the injury?

| Ohhh, I feel so badly for you! You tried so hard to keep ham from coming to your baby and it did! My family thinks I am so crazy with how protective I am and I am sure yours is the same way. I stepped on Hefner's foot last Thursday and he cried for almost a minute and wouldn't walk on it. I knew the vet wouldn't be able to do much if it was broken so I just wached him and he finally walked on it Friday. Then I was a nervous wreck all weekend because I left him home with my two oldest daughters' and their yorkies when I flew up to Sacramento for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. Whe I got back yesterday, of course he was fine, but we were playing in the backyard with a volleyball and my poodle Jet stepped on the same foot and he was limpting again. I think it is just sore. I feel so lucky that it wasn't something worse. I hope your vet is able to do something for her leg so it will still grow properly. It was the "growth plate" he was referring to probably. Vets work miracles these days. I am sorry you and she are having to go through this but please know that we are here for you. |

| I felt so overprotective of Bella when the lady at Lowes wanted to hold her but this proves you should trust your instincts. Daisy will surely be in our prayers tonight, God Bless!
