| Adding another Yorkie I'm going to try to make a long story short. I'm getting a another Yorkie tomorrow. I've mulled this over for months. I already have a 3 yr. old Westie and a 7 yr. old Yorkie that I rescued last year. I love them both so much. I am unable to work now and I enjoy staying home with my fur babies. I have wanted a infant Yorkie for a long time. The lady at the rescue where I got Pixie is the person with the little boy. He's in good health, utd on shots etc. He's 8 weeks and weighs 1 lb. and 2 ounces. I can't wait to pick him up tomorrow. The only problem is that I am keeping it a secret from my husband and grown sons. They think I have too many pets as it is. Also, money was an issue. Somebody help me to feel like I'm doing the right thing and will not get killed tomorrow. I'm a little stressed and excited at the same time. I will send pics as soon as I have them. I haven't named him yet. Any suggestions?

| Hmmm...is your birthday coming up soon? Late Mother's Day gift to yourself?? Did you have a secret stash of cash that you saved to spend on whatever you wanted? Just trying to give you an 'excuse' for getting your new baby. Good luck. Like someone once said, "It's easier to gain forgiveness that to get permission!!!" Let us know what happens! Make your husband his favorite dinner...then tell him! |

| A New Puppy Can Be So Exciting I am so excited for you. There is nothing like a new puppy. I like the suggestion of making your husband's favorite dinner and then letting him see him. That sounds good to me. Probably once your husband sees him and realizes how special he is he is not going to make you send him back. Your little one will capture his heart and become "daddy's little boy." Your husband will love it. |

| they brighten your life I'd bet the men in your life have hobbies and interests they spend money on that don't give have the return the fur babies do in sheer joy. And your "grown" sons should stay out of it. I'm sure you sacrificed enough when they were little to give them something they would love. |

| I'm sure once your hubby see his precious little face everything will be OK. Sometimes I think men like to "grumble" just for the sake of "grumbling"! I'll wait for pics to think of some names but off the top of my head I'm thinking "Chance"! Cause you're taking a "chance" bringing him home!

| You mentioned having grown sons. My guess is that you are old enough to know when you have too many pets. As long as you aren't expecting them to feed them or clean up after them. Go for it. Life is short. If it gives you pleasure then why shouldn't you have it. I bet the men will just melt when they see the little guy. Good luck. Can't wait to see pictures. |

| I felt obligated to post and share my story once more. I have always wanted a yorkie to love, and my hubby always said no. He was a bulldog fan and didn't want a yappy dog, (thats what he always called em) I went into a depression after my hysterectomy and as I was coming around I once more begged for a yorkie. He finally gave in. My search was on. I found Louie. Since I didn't know alot of info about them, of course I found myself in the middle of a puppy mill. But I seen Louie's face and he was cute but he looked sooooooooooooo sad. He needed to get out of there. He couldn't even walk on concrete let alone grass. He had been in a wire cage for so long he didn't know anything else. My husband tolerated him, and then grew to like him. But he always would comment on how he didn't want him and it was my dog. Then about a year later, I begged for a little girl. I seen on here everyone's lil girls all dolled up and cute lil bows and new I wanted a princess of my own. Plus Louie needed a playmate. So I begged once more. Now this time it took longer to get my way. But FINALLY he gave in. So the search was on once again. This time I did more research. And I found my lil girl. I was picky this time. I wanted the ears to allready be standing. I wanted her coloring to stay darker, and I wanted a smaller dog. All these things was what Louie didn't have. His ears were floppy, he was a 11lb dog, and was allready silver. (not that he isn't cute) Anyways, we went to see this pup, and omg she was sooo dang cute I had to have her!!!!!!!!So I brought her home. Elle really is the highlight of my life. I truely adore everything about her. She is totally MY dog. She is soooo spoiled. Her and Louie got along so well. They would play together and lay on each other. I couldn't have asked for anything more. Then, came the time when I went with some friends to go look at a litter of pups that they were considering. They both had 2 dogs at home and was just beginning to look to add a yorkie to their family. They weren't for sure if they were ready to bring the 3rd one in yet, but they thought maybe going to look would help them decide. So I went along. I should have never done that. Cause guess what, I feel in love once again. I seen this lil girl who was so cute, and upon holding her, she seemed so sweet. I called my hubby and of course he said no. I called back again and once again he said no. So then I had my daughter call, and once again he said no. You think I would have got the hint, but you have to know me. lol. He didn't say it firmly enough...lol So guess what, I brought her home anyways....lol. On my way home I seen I had a voice mail message on my cell phone. I listened and it was my hubby. He finally gave me my firm no! By then it was too late......uhoh. I got her home and had my friends walk in with me so he couldn't get mad quite yet. Long story short- he adores Abbie. He couldn't be happier. He has spoiled her just as much as Elle is. I'm sharing my story cause your hubby might be mad at first, but those lil babies grow on ya. Who honestly could look at their faces and say you don't want one, or two, or three...lol. As long as your happy and can take care of them and love them and give them everything they need then it's all going to be allright. I wish you the best of luck and let us know the outcome.

| I was lucky... hubby was the one that wanted the yorkie. I didn't care what breed of dog we got, really. I love them all! But now that I have my Chip I wouldn't trade him for any dog out there. What I did one time when I wanted hamsters... I went to the pet store to look at stuff for Chippy and saw this hammie that I HAD to have so I ran home, jumped on the bed and was like "BABY?!" and gave him the cute little look so he asked me what I wanted. I still looked at him and then he was like "Okay... what did you buy" Then I looked at him for a couple more seconds and started with "... I was at PetSmart... and there was this thing... and they are on sale! And all it's stuff is on sale... I want a hamster" We then get to the store and he goes... well if you get one, you have to get her a friend and we came out with two. lol

| Ok well you could pull a what's with andy but that's too complicated. So this is what I have in mind. Since your children are out of the house, you could pull a maternal. So just ask him for a baby and I'm sure he'll say no... but you know him better then I do. Keep asking him for a baby for like 3 days, and then be well can I have a puppy so I can't get out these maternal instincts (blah humans don't have instincts but whatever) and then he'll naturally say yes... and your home free. Just whatever you do, do not get him to say yes to a baby or your screwed. |

| Here's a update!!! Everyone has been so nice with their replies. I liked the one about the sacrifices I made to my sons and husband all my life so I do deserve a baby. Guess what? I got my baby today. His name is Rowdy Jack and he is 9 weeks old. He's been a hit with the whole family. My husband likes him after all. The boys do too. And, Mr. Rowdy likes my husband best. He follows him around everywhere he goes. This has been one of the best days of my life. I'll never be able to sleep tonight. Thanks for all your input. I will post pictures as soon as we settle down.

| You know, when I wanted another yorkie (we already had Ginger, Kirby and Mr. Fun Kitty) dh thought I was nuts. Of course, I wanted to rescue, so I had to bring him on board. I did over months of pestering....he's happier with our animals now more than ever. Bernie really added the right thing to the mix. (although, dh still calls me the crazy dog lady ) Good luck!
