Help!! Sopie's right ear is floppy!! When we first got Sopie at 6 weeks her ear was not standing up, the next week it was, now in the third week it is floppy again? What's going on? Believe me it doesn't make her any less cute, she is precious either way, just wondering about it.

Thanks, I will try shaving it, I guess I should let a groomer do that. Did you shave your pup's ears yourself? We did get her young, but the lady we got her from lives right down from us if we were to have any problems. She was already weaned from her mom. She is 9 weeks old now and already owns the house. She has done great!!! She goes monday for her 2nd set of shots.

Hi Sophie. She is probably teething. I brought my little girl home at ten weeks and her ears were down. The vet told me they are down due to teething and would come up on their own. A few days later, one came right up but the other stayed down. Just in case, I shaved both of them. A day later both were standing. Six weeks is very young to leave the mom. Yorkies really need to say with their moms atleast until 10 weeks but preferable 12 weeks. My four year old Yorkie came to me at 5 weeks and she needed to be bottle fed. I'm surprised your girl was weaned so early. Their little teeth are barely poking through at that age. Best of luck to you. Elaine
