| Husband is worried about Percy sleeping with us Ok, sometimes i like it when little Percy sleeps in our bed at night. But, my husband is terribly worried that the little guy will get crushed if someone rolls over. Since Percy is only 5.5 lbs he feels this could happen. I think he would move or cause a fuss is someone rolled on top of him. Is this even possible and has anyone ever heard/had this happen?

Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | Well Both my babies sleep with me. I wake up when I roll or move so has never been a problem...My hubby is 6-10 and 270 pounds (big guy lol) He moves a lil in his sleep but we also have a California King bed and he sleeps right on the edge as do I so the babies have lots of room. Right now I have a matress in my livingroom floor because I am afraid of my 11.5 week old jumping off the bed. Until he gets really used to the home made steps we have made for them to get up on the bed....I will sleep in L.R. with his spoiled butt. lol If you both sleep light it's probably ok if you don't ...I'd make them their own bed maybe next to yours?? SWEET DREAMS!

| My hubby is big too and we have no problem with both of them in the bed. He doesn't care if Loki sleeps with us or not, but I can't sleep without my Loki. Now Sammy, who is about the same size as your little guy, is his little princess and he likes to snuggle with her. She usually ends up sleeping ON my pillow. I wake up with this tiny head next to me. Anyway, we all find spots that work and no one rolls over anyone else. If you are just trying to get used to it, put him in a tiny dog bed on the bed or wrap him up in a blanket and put him between your pillows.

| Mojo has slept in our bed from day one......even though he has about 20 of his own beds around the house. Anyway, he started out sleeping on my belly, then moved to my neck, then my side, so on....now, he sleeps at the foot of the bed or at the back of my knees (I love it when he cuddles there). We were always worried about that too, but Mojo will move and he sometimes will let you know that you woke him and disturbed his sleep!!!

| Married to a really big guy who I have seen even in his sleep, feel around for Gypsy before he turns completly over. I was worried about it but now feel really safe with her there. The only time we have heard a whimper i when she had just got her shots and he ran his hand on her rear.

| Edie sleeps with me, but your husband's concern is valid. I seem to remember that someone lost their Yorkie (it was over a year ago) during the night, and she thought maybe it had suffocated under the blankets. I think it's easier not to roll over your yorkie if they are on top of the blankets, rather than under them. Just my opinion. |

| When Mugzy first started sleeping with us (the very first nite! ) I was really worried about it too, but he seems to let us know if we're smooshing him and he moves out of the way and there's lots of times I move him where I want him. I would just be careful not to let him sleep with you if you have to take medication that will knock you out or if you're drinking |

| I let Autumn sleep in my bed for the first time lastnight. I was worried about rolling over on her or her falling of the bed. So I pretty much got no sleep but her and hubby slept like babies!!! |

| All our crew sleeps with us.... However, there have been dogs (especially smaller puppies) who have died from being rolled over on and from sleeping under the covers. I've only heard of like 3 cases of this so far (I'm sure it's more common than just what I hear about though). Although Pixie was sleeping with us before we knew better than that, and we can't change her. She absolutely will not sleep unless she's in our bed on HER pillow. Or curled up at my tummy. And then when we got Bogey, he gets on the bed sometimes and he sleeps on the floor by us sometimes. Once Angel learned about the bed, that's where she thinks she belongs. When we had Baby Caddo though, we made him sleep in a cage because we were too worried about something happening to him. All mine now are adults. My husband kicks around and rolls over in his sleep, but he always feels before he starts moving too much - but the dogs all seem to know that I sleep perfectly still, and I usually have all 3 on me somewhere. I don't worry about that as long as I can feel them on me, because I know I'm not going to hurt them. And when I went to visit my daughter, I barely slept since I didn't have my babies all over me. I can't tell you what to do. I can tell you it's safer for a smaller dog to NOT be on the bed, but as a mom of 3 yorkies who sleep on the bed and I can't sleep without them either, the most I can say is be careful if you do.
