| I don't know.... They can be mean but aren't they more of a scavenger than a predator? One of the girls at my office said she saw a crow take off with a baby jack rabbit, so maybe. Better to take caution, I think.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | We have ravens, which are kinda like big crows. I always worry about them, but they have never attacked. I know they feed on live mice and vermin, though. Eddie chases them, and I figure the best defense is a good offense.

| Good question. We get a lot of really big crows here. Although they've never bothered my dogs -- we had a stray cat problem a while back, and I saw one carry off a poor little kitten. I had seen that litter of kittens running around; they were too wild to let you approach. But I'd say the kitten was at least 3 months old. . . so they could definately be a danger to a puppy, or a very small yorkie. I don't know if they would approach if a human was close though. They are pretty frightened of people.

| I have witnessed crows taking baby rabbits, squirrels, starlings and robins so I wouldn't trust them any farther than I could spit! |

| They won't bother dogs. My 3 pound Chihuahua who has no eyes has been very close to a crow, but it never bothers her. I think it knows she's no threat. It seems to be in our yard quite often, and especially when I put Delsi out to get some exercise while I sit at the patio table. Usually crows keep a wide distance between them and people and even dogs. |
