| Yorkie grooming Happy Mother,s Day to all. My little boy Zeus is right beside me. Do any of you keep your Yorkie,s hair cut short?Am I not a true Yorkie owner if I do this? I did keep his hair longer but I wasn,t very good at grooming him which is my fault.I like the way he looks but... This site is great. |

| I think there are a lot on here that keep there Yorkies in a shorter cut. I don't really care for it myself and love the look of the long hair. I have thought of cutting my Joey's hair a little bit, but I just haven't been able to bring myself to do it yet.

| My brother in law uses a number 4 hair clipper to buzz his yorkie. For some reason his yorkie had more curly hair so it can get nappy.

| We keep Chachi in a puppy cut. It is easier to keep up with. We keep Jewels long but I am thinking of cutting her down for the summer

| We go for a short puppy cut. I normally let it grow out a bit starting September, then begin cutting short in March right before the rainy and warmer season starts. I plan on showing Yorkies eventually, but the pups I have now are pet only, so it's a matter of comfort right now. Also I think they look just adorable with puppy cuts.

| I've always kept Joey in a "puppy cut". I like the way it looks (don't shoot me but I like it better than the traditional long hair) and I'm not religious about brushing so it keeps him from getting matted.
