| new baby sister? Okay, guys....Tobie is now almost 7 months and the breeder I got him from is getting ready to breed his mommy again in October which means the litter should be good to go to homes by Feb 2008. She's got me in mind because I've been thinking about getting another Yorkie to keep Tobie company. He's transitioned well and does really good when I am not home. He has free run of the living room, we still have occasionally poopy accidents....but who doesn't. My question is, has anyone gotten a second yorkie and if so, how did you transition into having a grown up and a new baby....which is what Tobie and this new pup will be by Feb 2008? I'd like to get him a sister since I think he and a brother won't get along too well, and plus it will be related to him since its from the same litter. By that time he'll be fixed....we're waiting for all his permanant teeth to come in now. Any thoughts or experiences ya'll could share would be great. Thanks! |

| I hope it all works out for you, but breeding on the first heat after giving birth is not good for the mom or her pups. I hope they all make it without serious medical problems. |

I think that since Tobie will still be young, he will enjoy having another puppy to play with. You are right, by that time, Tobie will be even more settled (and like you said, neutered) so that will help, too. I say,"GO FOR IT!" because you will and Tobie will have fun with a baby running around. Good luck! Tammy | |

| No, the breeder waited a year after breeding Tobie's litter to breed the next litter and his mama has been in heat since, so she will be fine...sorry for the confusion. |
