Help with coat I have a 16 week old baby girl, Lillie. I've noticed lately that her hair is getting really tangled but it's just at the roots. Is there anything I can do to keep her from getting tangled? I work with horses and we use Cowboy Magic for them. It works great. Can you use it for yorkies too? Is there something better I can use?

Thank you so much. I'll have to get some pictures of her uploaded and I'll put some up. I've been watching the boards for a while, but I've never felt a need to post until now. My mom thought it would be a good idea to call on your great wisdom and knowledge of yorkies.

Welcome to YT. This happened to Sophie when I used a brush on her. The brush didn't get to the roots and it made her first haircut a disaster. Try using a comb on your puppy everyday. Hope this helps.

I HAVE to use Cowboy Magic on my baby puppies hair. The puppy hair is nice on the ends and matted to the bone at the roots. it is the only thing that gets the tangles out. I put it on my fingers and work it right into the matts then comb.
