| Sir Tiny Humpalot Hi everyone, Tiny seems to be going through puberty as he has started humping, arms mainly which is a bit of a shock to any guest sat with him on the sofa! He's 8 months old, so would this be about the right time for him to start behaving like this? I want to get the little chap neutered as soon as we can but husband wants him to sew his wild oats with his friend's girl yorkie. Any tips for controlling his amorous advances? |

BANNED! | My boy "Bowie" started doing that at age 7 mths, but since he has started being used as a stud and now became a daddy he isnt humping at all now. He just does what he should do when its his time to make babies again thankfully. |

| I think humping mighgt be similar to marking in that at this point, if he has begun to hump, even if you get him neutered, he probably won't stop...You probably would have had to neuter him earlier to prevent humping. Thats what I've heard.

| Chico would only "date" his Angel's Rally monkey when he was younger. Every time, he would get himself so worked up that he would just stand there looking mortified until "things" got back to normal. So one day I just threw the monkey away and he has almost never done it since. Must have been something about that monkey! |

| Sir Tiny Humpalot Female yorkies hump, too--Gracie's been doing it since about 6 mos. old. Many small breeds so, both sexes--it's a way of showing dominance. Gracie only humps this one stuffed bulldog that was bigger than she was initially but now she's a bit bigger. There have been several other threads about this--mostly concerns about female "humping." |
