| My 6 month old pup had both ears down, then both when up and then one was up and one was down...Now they are both half up/half down! My vet said that while they teeth in the first year their ears will go up and down!!! Not sure if that is true, but perhaps this is the case with your pup. Who cares...it probably looks adorable!

| I've not heard the teething having anything to do with it (of course that doesn't mean it isn't true). You need to trim all of the hair off of the ears (not so close as to cause a problem)...the rim and the back of the ear. The hair weighs them down. Also, add a little lowfat cottage cheese to the diet for a while. You need to catch this as soon as possible in hopes of the ears going up. I haven't seen a picture of your pup, but I will be surprised if this doesn't help you quite a bit. Let me know, ok? Julz |

| If they were both up I am sure that one ear will go up again. They can go down when they are teething. My girls ear goes down but it always goes back up. You could shave it if you want. I have never had to do that.

| Tucker had both earsup when I got him at 12 weeks. Then one ear slowly started to droop. He's 5 months now and 1 ear is completely up and one is completely down. I love it! I think he looks adorable!!

| Hope and Klogan In addition to my advice in the previous post, here is something that will help also. Gently, gently as you are holding your puppy, with your thumb and your index finger, roll the puppys ear flap (the part that is folded down) in the upward position. Do this very gently, you don't want to damage the area right where the ear folds down. Place your thumb on that spot and do the upward motion roll with your index finger. Do this as many times a day as you can fit in. It should be very relaxing for your puppy. This does help tremendously. Good luck! |

| Tucker had this problem about a 2 weeks ago. He is 5 months old. One ear went down and I was concerned. Although he looked so cute, I did want it back up. It was down one week and popped back up. This is what I did. I completely shaved his ears. I also rubbed them gently although Tucker did not like this so I didn't do it often. I did the extra calcium via cottage cheese. After a week, I also went ahead and taped that one ear up. After one or two days of tape, I took it off and it was back up and stayed up. I followed the directions for taping from another member here. There was a thread about taping that I read to get the directions. I still don't know why it went back up or which method actually helped. I am sure your babies ear will come back up if it has always been up. Good luck! |

| I sounds like teething to me... this happend with Tino and I asked my vet about it and he said that when they are stressed bc of teething their ears will go up and down, but make sure you are keeping the hair shaved off of it so that it will come back up. He also suggested the massaging and the cottage cheese as Julz recommended. Tino's came back up and then when he was teething again at 10 months one started flopping again, but I had them shaved again and we are back to two up! Good luck!
