| Question About 'teapots' I know it's probably different for everyone, but I have a question about the larger yorkies. Those who have one---did they do most of their 'growing' by six months of age? Or can I expect a good deal more growing? Betty is my dollbaby, but pretty soon, I won't be able to carry her around! I feel like I have carpal tunnel in my right wrist from carrying her (seriously!). Also, are cheerios more fattening than her regular dog food (Canidae)? Of course, she will NOT settle for 1 cheerio! And she wants to eat OFTEN!! She will bark and spin around a couple times and make me follow her into the kitchen where she sits down and STARES at the counter where her food is! Look for us soon at Weight Watchers!! LOL!!!!!!!! |

| Congratulations on owning a "Teapot". Buddy did not stop growing until he reached 1yr old. He was 6 1/2 lbs at 14 1/2 wk and continued gaining 1 lb until he reached 1yr old. I was afraid he would never stop gaining! Today he is 13.5lbs and the light of my life. The biggies are so much fun and full of love also. |

| Biscuit, who is now over 9 lbs, was about 6 or 7 pounds by 6 months. He grew up until he was a little over a year, so you probably have a little of a ways to go. |

| One more thing: I must add, that the "teapots" are so much fun, and are a perfect hugging size! My Biscuit fits right in my arms, my baby Willow (who's a tiny) fits more in my hands! I love them both to pieces, but I do admit, I don't have to worry about Biscuit as much, he's such a beefcake, I love it! |

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Lex didn't stop growing until about 9 months or so. He is now a whopping 9 1/2 lbs of terror. They big guys are truly a lot of fun because you can romp with them without as much worry.

| Both of my teapots stopped growing around 9-10 months, but I noticed they both 'filled out' around 18 months. It's a relief not to worry about them getting hurt all the time. When I had a tiny, I was always hovering over him! My two boys are 9 and 12 lbs, and they're my cuddly little teddy bears!

| Those of us with teapots - have you noticed how they LOVE to eat? No finicky eaters here! My Baxter will eat anything that isn't nailed down. And I always say, "Call them anything you want, just don't call them late for dinner!" ....lol

| Wes is a little over 1.5 years. He is around 10 lbs now. His frame isn't getting bigger, but I think he is still filling out a little. But I don't expect him to get much heavier. |

| Miko kept growing until a little over a yr He is over 10lbs now Miko IS a finicky eater though, but he's the right weight for his size. I don't think their weight matters as long as it's the right weight for their size and build. Miko is just a little longer and a little taller than other yorkies, so obviously, he weighs more (and he's not a single ounce overweight)

| Jake was 6lbs at 6 months ... and is now a healthy 7.3lbs (is that really a teapot?) at 14 months. Sophie is only 6 months old ... and she is 10lbs .... I'm expecting her to be around 13 / 14 lbs fully grown. |

| I got Cozy at 4 months of age and she weighted 7.5 pounds. At 6 months she went into heat and stopped growing at 10-10.5 pounds. She is currently 1 year old and she fuctuates between 10 and 10.5 pounds but is still so small. My cats are 14 and 15 pounds and by golden is 120 so to me Cozy is a migget. LOL. Good luck with your Teapot. |
