| K9 Advantix VS Frontline My dogs are on frontline, but I need to reorder .... i was wondering if anyone here knew if K9 Advantix was better than Frontline or visa versa. K9 Advantix is cheaper (not by much) and I have read that it is better, but I'd like to know if anyone has tried both and what the results were or if anyone asked their vet about the differences b/t the two. thanks! |

| All of my zoo use Frontline. Honestly though I haven't tried anything else. Whenever we get a new member, I just automatically put them on Frontline. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Maybe someone is out there that has tried both and has a preference? I would love to switch to something cheaper that works. LOL

| All I know is that my vet has warned me about K-9 Advantix because I have cats. One of the chemicals in it has been known to sicken and even kill cats. Now, it may be just me, and I realize that cats and dogs are as different as humans and pigs (for the most part), but when there are options I would rather use a product that is not harmful to any animal. Wouldn't want to risk it even if I didn't have cats. He also warned me about the Bio-Spot stuff. He said the chemical in it not only harms cats, but has been known to harm small dogs. I use Frontline Plus on the cats and Advantage on the pups. If they get a bit bigger, I'll probably switch to Frontline Plus for Archie and Willie too. |

| Maybe I can help since I have used both. I used to use the Advantix since it was such a big help with the mosquitos and I do love in FL where they thrive. Although we had a major out break of ticks and fleas recently WHILE they were on it and it did not work that well. I also started doing my research on it and heard some not so good things about it. I than tried Frontline and it seemed to work much better than the Advantix, it cleared up the fleas and ticks on my babies in nothing flat. I personally perfer the Frontline - I would not switch if I were you and if you are having success with it.
