| Moving I am moving to a new place soon and would like some advice on how to do this with my new puppy. He is ten weeks old and is very adaptable, but what is the best way to make it the least stressful to him? Should I take him there beforehand and introduce him before moving? Please help. |

| If it would calm your nerves about the situation, then yes, take him to visit beforehand, but I don't think its really neccessary. As long as he has you with him, he should adjust just fine. Like you said, he is very adaptable...and remember that he's been through a lot of adjustments in the last few weeks and done just fine. I'm more worried about you than I am for him...moving can be very stressful for humans! |

| Worried about moving Well, I guess it is stressful, but I have done it so much in the past (well the past three years as a student). My current flatmate doesn't agree with my puppy (she prefers to have complete control over her environment), so I am looking forward to moving to a place where we can just be happy and not worry about the occasional accident so much. |

| My yorkie is only 14 weeks, I have had her for 5 weeks and so far she has stayed in 4 other places with me and is totally fine as long as she has her crate, toys and bed

| We got Roxy at 6 weeks, took her home (in SC) for 2 days. On the 3rd day we moved to PA. She rode in the car with people, 2 cats, 2 birds. We stayed temporarily in a trailer with a Giant, but very gentle and polite, Samoyed. From there we moved where we are now. Roxy had absolutely no problems at all. She was handled by many, roughed up by other dogs playing with her and she loved every minute of it. The only problem we had was she knew "white" meant piddle pad and my dtr was camped out on the floor with her white down-filled comforter. So Roxy had the classiest piddle-pad in East of the Rio. I don't know if all pups are that adaptable, but every pup I've ever had has adjusted to any changes they went thru. I hope yours does too. Good luck with your move.

| Thank you for your message. I feel much better now. We will be fine. I can't imagine going through what you did, though. That must have been tough. Thanks again |

| Good luck and remember your pup feeds off your anxiety. A new place will surely bring you joy and relaxation.
