| Bella's favorite treat - great for hot days You know those plastic ketchup cups they have at cafeterias? Well we took some from my work, filled them with lowfat yogurt and put them in the freezer. (Bella's favorite is strawberry/bannana) She loves to lick them and it cools her down too. I asked the vet about yogurt and she said it was fine (she prefers no human food at all) but said it wouldn't hurt her in any way. Yogurt is how we gave Bella her cough medicine (mixed in)

That's so good to know! It might start getting hot in Texas soon. I remember there is an ice cream for dogs in the freezer isle next to my icecream that is made for dogs. For some reason, I forgot what it was called! But, I have a feeling Fred will love yogurt. I'll keep that in mind the next time I go shoppin'. Thanks for sharing!!

Thanks for the tip! We have super hot summer days in Arizona! Rocky already loves ice cubes! Everytime he hears the freezer open, he is right there wagging his little nub and waiting for an ice cube! I am sure he will love the yogurt treat!

What a great idea! I bought the Frosty Paws, but those cups are so big! The ketchup cups would be perfect.

Sounds like a good idea. The only thing is, does Bella eat the cup , I'm afraid that before I knew it they would have the cup all chewed. I think that I'm still going to try it. Look out McDonalds, protect your containers ! ...Theresa & The Boys

I also bought the frosty paws but they were so big and for the price, a yogurt is cheaper and better for her. One Dannon yogurt filled like 6 cups

I bought the frosty paws this weekend and Romeo LOVES it but your right the cups are huge for them. I've let him eat out of the cup til he's done and then put it back in the freezer. I think I'll keep those cups and try the yogurt...I never would have thought it was good for them to eat. Thanks for the tip!
